    Before the Stadium, the Artistic Manuka

    Adjacent to Bowen Park, Telopea Park is only a leisurely stroll away. All you need to do is to cross Wentworth Avenue and to let yourself go amidst nature's embrace. On your left, you will notice the Free Serbian Orthodox Church from Telopea Park. Head toward the Manuka Oval precinct where important sporting events are held.

    The Manuka Arts Centre provides resources, and programs for photographers and media artists. Although the Manuka Arts Centre compiles 3 buildings, PhotoAccess is the most renowned facility.

    In the surroundings of Manuka Oval, you can visit the Fire Brigade Museum most Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

    To get your creative brains working the Currie Crescent Community Centre which is located at the Canberra Baptist Church offers free workshops. The Crafty Fingers Workshop is held from Fridays 10:30am-12.00noon in the Waldock Hall. It is a craft and friendship group for a relaxed time to finish up the week. BYO craft. The main door to the event is Wheelchair accessible with level ground from the street and the car park. There are no lifts as it is a single story building.

    What can be found here?

    • Manuka Stadium is hosted with accessible features such as lifts and accessible seating. A lift grants access to the concourse level, where accessible seating is available for wheelchair users and their companions (advance reservation required 1300 665 915)
    • PhotoAccess at Manuka Arts Centre has a ramped entrance into the gallery space, all on one level and the space where workshops are held is wheelchair accessible by ramp and all one level and the staff will assist those who need some extra help to do the workshop of choice. The centre offers workshops, exhibitions and access to darkroom and digital lab facilities fully accessible.
    • Accessible premises at Manuka pool (but unfortunately the pool is not adapted for people with reduced mobility as it has steps).
    • Fire Brigade Museum welcomes wheelchairs. However, please be aware of a bump at the door threshold. Otherwise, it should be easy to visit and ignite your inner fire.
    • Crafty Fingers Workshop at Currie Crescent Commnity Centre which is welcome and accessible to all

    Accessible toilets

    • Inside the Manuka Stadium, there's lift access to the Bradman Stand Concourse, where accessible toilets are available.
    • At the ground floor inside the Manuka Arts Centre and inside the PhotoAccess building.
    • There is an accessible toilet located inside Telopea Park. Also, there is an accessible toilet facility right next to the entrance of the park where Telopea Park Road and New South Wales Cress meet.
    • Surrounding Manuka Oval there is an accessible toilet at the Corner of Manuka Terrace with Flinders Way.
    • There are accessible toilets inside the Currie Crescent Community Centre which is all level access

    Accessible Parking

    • Available at Manuka Stadium upon requirement in advance for each event, as availability is limited.
    • Accessible parking is available in front of the Fire Brigade Museum facilities.
    • 5x Free parking spots with wheelchair access are located inside Telopea Park, all along the park from south to north.
    • Outside Manuka Oval, there are two available paid parking spots with wheelchair access. One is located at 19 Furneaux St., while the other one is at Franklin St (Manuka Terrace).
    • PhotoAccess has one handicapped parking lot spot at the front of the Manuka Arts Centre.
    • Currie Crescent Community Centre has two carparks with a total of 6 handicapped spaces. All have level access to the building.
