Discover your inner zen in Lennox Gardens

Clear your mind amidst the landmarks to peace

Lennox Gardens is a picturesque and tranquil public park on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin. Known for its lush greenery, serene atmosphere, and stunning views of the lake, and the landmarks all around, it offers visitors a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. It's supremely wheelchair-friendly, with all paths being completely accessible.

The gardens are well-known for its many peace landmarks in one small area. You could begin your exploration at Albert Hall, an iconic heritage-listed building that serves as a cultural and community hub.

From here, you can get to the full accessible route through the park, passing by the Canberra Nara Peace Park, honouring the solidarity between Australia and Japan, the Rotary Peace Bell, the Monument to the Australians who fought in the Spanish civil War called International Brigade Memorial, and The Beijing Garden. They go together to make Lennox Park one of Canberra's very popular beauty spots, reminding us of harmonious relations with other nations. Here, you can spend a peaceful time in the outdoors, without any access issues. We fully recommend you plan for a whole morning or a sunset by the water when you visit Lennox Gardens.

Every year, in October the park hosts the Canberra Candle festival, a must do if you are around at that time of the year.
