Sydney Dance Company, Neilson Studio

Sydney Dance Company is located at Wharf 4/5, 15 Hickson Road, Dawes Point.

There is step-free access from Hickson Road via a ramp. The main entrance has wide double glass doors, which are kept open during opening hours. There are no obvious steps or high thresholds at the entrance.

The indoor area is open and spacious, with wide pathways and mostly flat wooden flooring. However, the wooden floor has visible gaps, worn areas and some slightly uneven sections. There are also some fixed wooden columns, plants and furniture that may reduce wheelchair space in certain areas. If visitors need to go to the Administration Level, reception staff can help them use the lift.

The public seating area has standard-height tables, movable chairs, sofas and low coffee tables. Some furniture can be moved to create more space for wheelchair users. However, the high tables and stools near the windows may be less suitable for wheelchair users. Café Styx is located near the entrance and has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Neilson Studio is located on the ground floor and has step-free access. The performance space is quite large and provides wheelchair-accessible seating. For wheelchair seating or accessibility assistance, please contact the Box Office on 02 9221 4811 or email [email protected].

Accessible toilets are available inside the venue near the studios. The ground-floor accessible toilet has a hoist, a full-size change table, right-hand transfer facilities and baby-change facilities. There are also public toilets in the breezeway outside the main entrance.

The venue accepts Companion Cards and welcomes Assistance Animals. Some performances also offer other accessibility services. 

Accessible on-street parking is available along Hickson Road. Bus routes 324 and 325 stop nearby, and Barangaroo Metro Station is around an 8-minute walk away.
