    Taste Cultural Food Tours will introduce you to some of the best dining in the must-see locations of Barangaroo and The Rocks, Sydney's newest and oldest suburbs. You can enjoy Australia's favourite Italian & Thai classics, made with fresh ingredients from the restaurant's farms. You will also savour some gelato, made daily, and satisfy your sweet tooth with indulgent French patisseries. Then you will sample a locally-brewed beverage at one of Sydney's oldest pubs, with breath-taking views over the harbour.

    During your culinary tour, you take in views from the stunning Barangaroo Park and a beautiful walk through the old and new Sydney (2x1.2km walks, all flat or downhill, and smooth)  .

    Tours are all conducted by guides with extensive local knowledge. Groups are always small (never more than 12-15 people) and they go at your pace. All venues are accessible to all, including wheelchair users.

    Why Do We Love This?

    Apart from the tour itself, the great thing about this is that it has been specifically put together for people who have difficulties getting around. The Rocks in particular is well known for being hilly, uneven, and generally hard to negotiate. This tour purposely avoids steps and steep hills.

    How long is the tour?

    It takes approximately 3 1/2 hours, including walks totalling 3 km (with two of the longer walks being around 1.2 km each).

    What about accessibility?

    The tour purposely avoids all steep hills and difficult terrain. It is held predominantly on flat and smooth pathways. A public lift can be taken to avoid the steepest part of the route.There are accessible toilets en route (both public ones and those owned by specific venues). All eateries are at least partially accessible. This tour is suitable for wheelchair users.

    Our tours are designed to build understanding across cultures using food. All our tours are hosted by locals, trained by the Taste program, who are ‘in the know’ and who will show you the best places to eat and shop, those local hidden gems.
