The Neilson Nutshell is Bell Shakespeare’s flagship performance space located at Pier 2/3, in the heart of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. 

Steeped in Sydney’s industrial history, Pier 2/3 houses Bell Shakespeare’s new premises combining the heritage features of Pier 2/3 with the contemporary needs of artists and audiences.
 


Bell Shakespeare is Australia’s national theatre company specialising in the works of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. With unrivalled reach and impact Bell Shakespeare delivers mainstage productions and an education and outreach program to every state and territory, ensuring classic theatre experiences are accessible to all Australians.
 

There are gendered bathrooms and a gender neutral, accessible bathroom available on Ground Floor and Level One.

The accessible bathroom on Level One is 1.2 metres x 2.7 metres, and it features inclusive fixtures, handrails, a distress button and a baby-changing station. 
 

Accessible seating and hearing loops are available at the venue. Please contact Sydney Festival to arrange this when booking tickets.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and walkers can be stored in the cloak room if needed.

Lift access to the venue is available. The lift dimensions are 1.4 m x 2 metres. The entry is 1 metre wide. Lift capacity is 18 people and 1350kg.

ACO On The Pier

Bangarra is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation and one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, widely acclaimed nationally and around the world. Bangarra Dance Theatre is partially accessible to wheelchair users. The lower level studios offer step-free access, but the Bangarra Room is only accessible by stairs. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet on site but there are no accessible parking spots nearby.

The Wharf 1 & 2 theatres are the Sydney Theatre Company’s smaller theatres, located very close to the main Roslyn Packer Theatre in Walsh Bay. They are fully wheelchair accessible (although it should be noted that the accessible entrance is a very long roll from the main theatre entrances, the cafe/bar, and the accessible toilets). Wheelchair access is via the access ramp and lift on the pier 4 entry located adjacent to the main entrance on Hickson Road. To access the seating, you need to take a lift up to the level above the main entrance (it is marked level 3 – the main entrance being on level 2). The box office is on the ground floor level (marked level I). 
Limited on-street parking is available outside Roslyn Packer Theatre and The Wharf theatres and there are several other public carparks nearby.

The Gantry is an accessible fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar in Walsh Bay. Step-free access to the venue is via Walsh Bay Pier, leading into a generously spaced dining area. There is also outside seating available. The restaurant has accessible unisex toilets which are located next to the concierge desk.
There are no accessible parking spots nearby.

The Gantry Restaurant & Bar

Pier One Sydney Harbour, is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Every level of the hotel is accessible via wheelchair and there are unisex toilets throughout the building. The bedrooms feature a roll-in shower, hand rails around the bathroom and plenty of space to maneuver in the room.
The hotel also offers an accessible restaurant. In the nearby area there are also plenty of accessible convenient shops, cafes and restaurants. Parking spots can be found in the hotel carpark.

The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf is a waterside bar and restaurant, It is accessible. Located on Pier 4 in Walsh Bay next to the Wharf theatres, the venue offers step-free access upon entry, but some areas can only be accessed via steps. Generously spaced tables provide accessible seating both inside and outside, while the bar also has an accessible toilet.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

The Harbour View Hotel is situated on the corner of Cumberland Street and Lower Fort Street in The Rocks, under the southern end of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp leading into the premises and a lift which provides access to the second floor restaurant. The venue’s accessible toilets are located on the ground floor.

Lotus Dumpling Bar is an accessible restaurant serving up pan-Asian cuisine and cocktails in Dawes Point. There is step-free entry into the venue but space is tight and some tables inside and outside may be inaccessible especially at peak times. The Bund is a modern take on the traditional Chinese dining experience offering an upmarket Chinese restaurant serving elevated traditional cuisine in a warm, old-fashioned ambiance located on Hickson Road in Walsh Bay.   

The Bund features paved level pathway apporach to step free entry.  Inside is spacious with turquoise green decorating the walls alongside images of the old Bund in Shanghai, classic antiques & darkwood furniture creating an intimate ambience.  There is further seating ooutside.

Just a three-minute walk from BridgeClimb Sydney – The Bund offers a selection of wine & beers with meals, as well as a BYO option, with a bottle shop just next door.

Located at the southern end of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Pylon Lookout is inaccessible to wheelchair users. There are 200 steps up to the lookout itself.

Park Hyatt is fully accessible to wheelchair users, although access is only possible from the street side of the hotel and not from the water side. The rooms that provide best accessibility are the King Park room, City Harbour room, Opera View room and Deluxe Opera View room. Each have handrails in the bathroom and built-in shower seats Each level of the hotel can be easily accessed by lift. There are plenty of accessible shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Designated parking spots can be found at the hotel carpark for around $60 per day.

Use the hotel's main (front/road) entrance for arrival,  There are also lifts to enable access to the various parts of the venue, which has an accessible toilet. The Tea Cosy is an inaccessible cafe located on George Street. There are steps leading up to the main entrance and there is no portable ramp on site to enable entry. The only part of the venue that is accessible is the outside street level seating area which means you won’t have access to the toilets.

In the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Hickson Road Reserve is located right on the harbour's edge, with magnificent views of the Sydney Opera House. The reserve is dotted with mature palm trees. Due to its stunning backdrop, the park is a popular location for photo shoots and wedding ceremonies. Hickson Road Reserve is a small park accessible to wheelchair users. There is a slight slope to the park, but it doesn’t prevent access. The park has no accessible toilets and no picnic or barbecue areas. Cafes and restaurantnts can be found nearby as well as accessible parking spots.

Elements Seafood Grillhouse is a great place to eat right on the water. 

It is an accessible restaurant located on Pier 8-9 looking over Walsh Bay. 

The entry to the venue is step-free and tables inside are well spaced out with pretty potted plants and a calming relaxed atmosphere. 

Good for hanging out for a long brunch or lunch, inside or at the under cover outside tables in any weather.

There is also an accessible toilet and shower. There are 2 on-street accessible parking spots in nearby Hickson Road. Alternatively you can use one of the carparks nearby.

Elements Seafood Grillhouse

Walsh Bay Kitchen adjoins the Roslyn Packer Theatre. It is an accessible restaurant serving Australian cuisine. Space between tables is cramped, meaning some parts of the dining area may prove inaccessible but there are also tables outside. There is step-free access into and around the venue, which also has an accessible toilet.
There are plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

The Roslyn Packer Theatre is the main theatre of the Sydney Theatre Company (the other; The Wharf Theatre is 150 metres away, opposite Pier 6/7 on Walsh Bay). 

It seats up to 900 people and is fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair spaces in two locations; on the ground floor in the stalls, and further ones on the upper level in the circle. There are accessible toilets on both main levels.

Should you need it, there is an automatic opening door (with the button on the right as you look at the theatre from the street).

There is no dedicated accessible parking. However there is disabled parking on the street on the other side of the road.

Roslyn Packer Theatre (Sydney Theatre Company)

Located on a slight slope on Lower Fort Street, The Hero of Waterloo is a pub and restaurant that is inaccessible to wheelchair users. There are steps at every entrance and throughout the venue, preventing access. There is no portable ramp on site to assist with access.

Zupano is an accessible cafe & coffee house located on the foreshore promenade Hickson Road, Millers Point. 

Serving what Zupano refers to as  “Aussieterranean” food taking dishes inspired by the Mediterranean, made for Australians .  

Zupano offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to large open doorway.  With easy access to the counter there are both indoor & outdoor covered tables & chairs.

This is a small playground but great for the local families in the area and a plus that it is enclosed.This playground issuitable for toddlers and younger children. It includes swings and climbing equipment but unfortunately no special equipment for wheelchair users. 
Trinity Avenue Playground is fully accessible as the terrain is hard and flat. There is step-free access into the playground and throughout. There are no accessible toilets located on site. There are no designated accessible parking spots but 2 hour parking on the steets nearby is possible.

Rib & Burgers The Rocks is an accessible resturant with ramp and entrance from George Street. Plenty of space inside, with outdoor seating also available.  Parking can be found at Wilsons Overseas Passenger Terminal

Caminetto is not accessible to wheelchair users, owing to steps at the main and rear entrances. However, the venue does offer table service and has an accessible seating area outside.

This hotel is accessible to wheelchair users, although it is a little awkward, being in an older building.

Upon arrival you will need to use the ramp off Mill Lane which is just on the side street to get up onto footpath. 

There is step-free access into the hotel and throughout. The hotel offers two Queen rooms which are designated accessible. Both feature a roll-in shower with hand rails. You will need to specify that you require one upon booking. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, including the Fine Food Store right next door, which has really wonderful food and coffee for lunch, brunch and breakfast.

Rydges Sydney Harbour

Rubber Duck is an accessible loby cafe situated in the  foyer of the WPP AUNZ building at 1 Kent Street, serving Organic Coffee, fresh foods.

The cafe provides step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass entry doors.  The foyer is large & spacious with easy access to the counter, freestanding tables, chairs, high tables with stools & low level banquette window seats.  

Accessible parking can be found closeby at Bond One Car Park, Barangaroo Point & Reserve.  Accessible toilets can be found 150m away at Watson Road, The Cutaway & Barangaroo Reserve. 

Rubber Ducky Cafe

This is an accessible cafe located in Barangaroo. The venue offers step-free access into and around the dining area, while there is also plenty of tables of easily accessible outside. There is no accessible toilet on site but there are some located on the wharf opposite, around 50mtrs away. Accessible parking spots can be found in one of the nearby public carparks and on the street just opposite the cafe.

Brix & Beans Coffee House

Walsh Bay Crabhouse is an accessible restaurant located on Towns Place, Millers Point.

This glass fronted venue offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach with a menu that features mud crab in a range of 17 styles for the ultimate crab feast!

The Crabhouse features freestanding tables, high back chairs & seating booths overlooking the water.

Accessible parking can be found at Barangaroo Point & Reserve & Bond One Car Park.  Accessible toilets can also be found at Barangaroo Reserve, The Cutaway & Watson Road.

There is approx 5cm step at the front door but flat access is possible through the side glass doors - be sure to phone and ask for this to be available before you turn up as a table is often in place there. 

Once inside, the dining area is fairly spacious but a few tables may be inaccessible, especially at peak times. Make sure to inform the venue about your arrival so they can arrange a table. 

There is no accessible toilet on site, There is an accessible public carpark nearby and 2 on street parking bays directly across the road.

Serving up Thai street food, Wok on Inn is a food outlet on Playfair Street in The Rocks. Gentle ramps lead up to the counter and seating areas, which are mostly accessible. Situated in a small food court, there are no accessible toilets on-site but some at the Visitors Centre nearby.

Located in The Rocks Centre, The Fine Food Store is a cafe and restaurant serving home-made cusine. The venue is accessible to wheelchair users and offers step-free access into and throughout the venue. There is no accessible toilet in the cafe, but there are public facilities in The Rocks Centre. Outdoor and indoor seating is also accessible at The Fine Food Store.

Appetito Pizza Pasta Bar is an accessible restaurant that can only be accessed via the George Street entrance and not the rear entry on Circular Quay. But at the George Street entrance there is a special door for wheelchair users which has extra wide doorframes. Inside you will find a lift which takes you to the dining area. Staff are happy to assist with arranging a table and they will ensure that there is enough room between the tables. There is also an outside area which can be used.
An accessible toilet is available onsite. The closest designated parking spots can be found approximately 100 metres away from the venue on George Street.

Appetito Pizza Pasta Bar

Both of the entrances to Observer Hotel have steps and are inaccessible for wheelchair users. The only option at this bar and restaurant is to sit outside in the courtyard, which has a number of tables which means you will have no access to the toilets. Closest designated parking spots are available in the Wilson Clocktower carpark.

Situated on the second floor of the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, Quay Restaurant is accessible to wheelchair users. There are two lifts next to the terminal entry which provide access onto the second floor. Turn right out of the lift and you’ll find a step-free entry into the restaurant. Space is tight between both indoor and outdoor tables, which may mean some are inaccessible. There is also an accessible toilet on site.
Designated parking spots can be found in the Wilson Clocktower carpark.

Quay Restaurant

Dare is an accessible cafe. The venue has two counters - one of which is too high for wheelchair users to pick up their order. Dare’s outdoor seating is generously spaced and easily accessible. There are no toilets on site. Accessible parking can be found in the Wilson carpark at the clocktower.

Located in The Rocks next to The Argyle, Saké Restaurant & Bar is accessible for wheelchair users. Access can only be attained via the Argyle Street entry, where staff will assist you with a portable ramp. There is only one accessible table in the main dining area, which is usually closed from Monday to Friday, but you can call the venue and make a booking so they can arrange that table for you. Accessible toilets are available on site. Designated parking spots can be found in the Wilson carpark around 150 meters away.

Saké Restaurant & Bar The Rocks

The Rocks Discovery Museum is inaccessible to wheelchair users. A very narrow doorway provides step-free access but inside not all areas can be accessed via wheelchair. The reception is the only accessible part.

The Cut Bar & Grill is a steakhouse located on Argyle Street, but the venue is inaccessible for wheelchairs. There is a step at the entrance to the restaurant and steps inside the venue, which has no facilities to enable wheelchair access.

Gelatissimo in The Rocks is a partially accessible ice cream shop. The venue offers step-free access to the counter, but the outdoor seating area has steps leading up to it and there is no ramp on site. There are also no accessible toilets available.

Situated on the fourth  floor of the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, Yukis Japanese Restaurant is accessible to wheelchair users. There are two lifts next to the terminal entry which provide access onto the third floor. Turn left out of the lift and you’ll find a step-free entry into the restaurant. Space is tight between the indoor and outdoor tables, which may mean some are inaccessible. There is also an accessible toilet on site.

Accessible unisex toilet (or disabled toilet) on the lower floor of the arcade. Entrance from Kendall lane (this lane has cobbles), an easier less cobbled entrance can be found by entering the arcade from Argyle St. Automatic sliding door, plenty of room and clean.

Wild Ginger Dining and Bar is an inaccessible restaurant located on George Street serving a fusion of Thai and Australian cuisine. The venue’s dining areas and outside seating can only be accessed by negotiating stairs as there are no lifts in the building.

Located in a food court on Playfair Street, Hero Sushi Box is a takeaway Japanese food outlet which is accessible by wheelchair. There are ramps around the courtyard giving access to the outlet and the various seating areas. The space in the seating area is generous. There are also designated accessible public toilets located a matter of metres away from Hero Sushi Box in the nearby  Visitor Centre

A large restaurant upstairs in the centre of The Rocks area, great to visit with the whole family, very kid friendly too. Yummy pancakes, pizzas, some salads and it’s fully licensed - something for everyone. Caters easily for large family groups. 

There is a lift to go up to the first floor coming off Playfair street, next to the steps leading to the front door. Although the restaurant is quite roomy with wide aisles to get to all the seats, around half the tables are booth seats, so you may need to book ahead to get one of the open tables with chairs that you can move aside if need be. 

Parking in nearby Argyle Street, and the nearest accessible parking is on street outside 107 George Street, around 80meters away. 

Pancakes On The Rocks

There is a ramp outside Munich Brauhaus to provide access to the German-style bar and restaurant. Not all areas of the indoor dining area are accessible and there are no accessible toilets on the premises. The outdoor seating is made up of permanent benches, which may prove inaccessible for wheelchair users.

Located in a food court on Playfair Street, 7Rocks is a deli and cafe which is accessible by wheelchair. There are ramps around the courtyard giving access to the outlet and the various seating areas. There are no accessible toilets on-site but some at the Visitors Centre nearby. Accessible parking spots can be found in the Rocks carpark.

Located in The Rocks next to The Argyle, El Camino Cantina is an inaccessible restaurant serving Mexican cuisine. There are cobbles leading up to the venue before you are confronted by a set of seven steps and no portable ramp to assist with entry.

Spread over two levels, The Argyle is a bar, restaurant and nightclub located on Argyle Street. 
Cobbles leading up to the venue make wheelchair access tricky, but there is step-free access into and around the ground floor of the venue. The first floor is only accessible by stairs. Some of the tables are inaccessible due to high stools and benches.
Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor. There are several car-parking stations in the vicinity.

Sydney Visitor Centre - The Rocks is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access from the cobbled street into the main entrance, and step-free access throughout the inside of the venue. The centre also has accessible toilets.

Located on Playfair Street in The Rocks, Playfair Cafe is an accessible food outlet. There is step-free access to the counter and outdoor seating area, but there is no accessible toilet on site.
The seating areas are very cramped which means that the cafe is inaccessible at peak times.
Designated parking spots can be found in the Wilson Clocktower carpark.

Nina Mccrae Park

Located opposite the Tourist Information Centre in The Rocks, Pony Dining is fully accessible with step-free access into and around the venue. The outdoor seating area is cramped and does not have enough space to comfortably maneuver a wheelchair. Inform the venue about your visit and then they can arrange a special table with enough space. Accessible toilets are provided and designated parking spots can be found in the Rocks carpark.

Located on a slight slope on Kent Street, the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is a partially accessible bar and restaurant. A step at the entrance prevents wheelchair access but there is a portable ramp on site to assist.
Only the bar is accessible which provides designated toilets. The restaurant and the hotel are not accessible for wheelchairs due to steps and restricted space.
There are also no accessible parking spots nearby.

The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel

Cruise Bar is a waterfront bar and restaurant located next to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. There is step-free access into the restaurant and outdoor seating areas and tables are generously spaced meaning most are accessible. An accessible unisex toilet is located beside the bar area. Closest parking possibility its the Wilson carpark on George Street.

Cruise Bar

Situated in the Rocks, within walking distance from Sydney’s landmarks, on the first floor of the Clocktower shopping complex, Shiki Japanese Restaurant can be accessed via a lift in the adjoining car park. There is step-free access into and around the venue, which has an accessible toilet. Secure Wilson car parking is available at Clocktower Square’s basement.

The Orient Hotel is an accessible bar. Owing to the fact it is located in a heritage listed building, there is no lift access to the upper restaurant. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor and there is a ramped entrance on Argyle Street. Ample space between the outside tables, which have glimpses of the harbour & water. Unfortunately all the tables inside are bar height with bar stools! 

Orient Hotel

There is a very steep concrete ramp leading up to the venue from the street, but a step at the doorway prevents wheelchair access. There are, however, a number of accessible tables outside.
Designated parking is available in the Rocks carpark.

Nakashima - The Rocks

Barney and Bligh Reserve is located adjacent to the Museum of Contemporary Art and contains the historic Cadman’s Cottage building. It's a popular spot for tourists and visitors to enjoy the sight and sounds of Circular Quay.
The Reserve is only accessible via a gravel driveway adjacent to the park, as there is a step running around the perimeter of the reserve. The terrain is mostly soft and there is no accessible parking or toilets nearby.

Barney and Bligh Reserve

La Renaissance Patisserie is an inaccessible food outlet located on Argyle Street in The Rocks. There is a large step at the only entrance to the venue preventing wheelchair access to the counter. There is accessible seating located outside the venue.
Designated parking spots can be found around 50 meters away in the Rocks carpark.

Step free access via the entrance on Argyle Street which has a ramp but narrow doorway. Limited seating - 3 to 4 tables inside. Plenty of outdoor seating, easily accessible. George Street side entrance has stairs.  Accessible parking can be found at Quay Wesy or the Overseas  Passenger Terminal.  Toilets can be found at 15 George Street - The Rocks or Roslyn Packer Theatre Level 2

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café

Tago-an is an accessible Japanese restaurant located on Kent Street in The Rocks but space between tables is very tight and most are inaccessible.
