Big bargains as well as big waves

Bondi Markets is a lively open-air market set beside iconic Bondi Beach, with stalls spread across the grounds of Bondi Beach Public School on Campbell Parade. It’s a relaxed, beachy spot where you can browse, snack, people‑watch and soak up the atmosphere, all within a mostly level and easy-to-navigate precinct. Trading hours: Sundays 10am–4pm (weather permitting). Stall types: Over 60 stalls featuring fashion, jewellery, crafts, art, homewares, plants, vintage finds, and food trucks with coffee, smoothies, and street eats.

    2. What can be found here? (Accessibility features)

The market area is set on generally flat ground, with smooth paths and flat entrances into the stall areas, which makes it easier for wheelchair users, mobility aids, prams and anyone with balance or fatigue issues. There is a side entrance at Warners Ave offering a ramp too so everyone can access it. Both entrances to the markets are accessiblE. There is good space to manoeuvre between most stalls, so you can turn, browse and pause without feeling squeezed or blocked in. Surfaces are a mix of paved areas and well‑maintained outdoor ground, which keeps things more stable under wheels and reduces tripping hazards. The food court isn’t particularly spacious, as people tend to gather around an improvised stage area and sit on the floor to eat. This makes the space a bit cramped but still manageable. The surfaces aren’t completely even, which gives wheelchair users a slight vibration when moving around.

    3. Accessible toilets

The Bondi Markets precinct has accessible toilets located behind the main stage area and near the food zone, keeping them close to where most people spend time. The accessible toilets are locked to reduce misuse and degradation, so you will usually need to find a member of the market or site team and ask for the key to open them. If you have an MLAK key, you can open the accessible toilets independently, which is especially helpful on busy days or if staff are hard to spot.

    4. Accessible parking around the area

There is one accessible parking space right in front of the Pacific Bondi shopping mall; from there, you only need to cross the road to reach the markets on Campbell Parade (180–186 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach, New South Wales, 2026). There are also several accessible parking bays a little further away on Park Drive, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026, about 130 metres from the main Bondi Markets entrance, with a road crossing that feels safe and secure for most mobility devices. The markets can get very busy, so it’s worth checking how many accessible spots are available in real time using the NSW Mobility Parking app: https://accessibility.parknpay.nsw.gov.au/parking.
