Bondi Junction Station is fully accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility needs. It is part of the Bondi Junction Interchange, where the train station sits directly underneath the bus station. The two stations are connected by different lifts, so follow the wheelchair signage to find the right lift for the level you need.
Entrances
There is ramp access to all entrances, including those on Oxford Street and Grafton Street. The ramps are not steep, the entrances are wide, and each ramp is clearly signposted at the staircases.
Moving between levels
Every level can be reached by stairs, escalators or lift. The lifts are easy to find on each level, with wheelchair signage pointing the way.
Bus station level
This level has wide automatic doors and a spacious layout, making it easy to manoeuvre. A unisex accessible bathroom is located here. Its door opens with a push button from the outside and is motion-activated from the inside.
Train station level
A clearly signposted wide easy access gate leads into the train platforms. A second unisex accessible bathroom, with a baby change table, is located on the platform level.
Boarding assistance
A boarding assistance ramp is available on each platform, next to the customer service office. Signs on the walls and a marking on the platform floor show you where to wait. Simply speak to a customer service staff member and they will set up the ramp for you.
Drop-off and parking
There is an accessible drop-off area on Grafton Street, at the front of the station. Waverley Council also provides 15-minute drop-off zones and PUDO (Pick-Up/Drop-Off) bays around the interchange, designed for safe and convenient pick-ups and drop-offs in this busy area. Limited parking is available on Sabre Street opposite the station, but there is no kerb ramp from this location.
