Located in the heart of the city, Sydney Town Hall is an iconic civic landmark which combines state-of-the-art venue facilities with spectacular heritage architecture and interior decoration. Builti in the late 19th Century housing the chambers of the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Council offices and venues for n=meetings and functions.

Hyde Park is a great city park that covers two blocks in the heart of the city.  It is only one block up from the main shopping area of the Pitt Street Mall and is a good spot to take some lunch and escape all the hustle and bustle.  The park is accessible and has good paths throughout for a wheelchair. Hyde Park offers step-free access from entrances on College Street and Elizabeth Street. The park is mostly of a gentle gradient, with some areas on a slight slope. There is a step running round the perimeter of every area of grass, which may mean they are inaccessible. There is a public toilet situated in the south-west corner of the park at Museum station. Accessible parking spots can be found in the carpark on Elizabeth Street.

Hyde Park

St James is accessible to wheelchair users. Step-free access is gained via a lift from the Elizabeth Street entrance at the edge of Hyde Park. There are lifts and gentle ramps to take wheelchair users to the platforms. A portable boarding ramp onto the train is available and there is also an accessible unisex toilet in the station.

Portobello Caffe

The Australian Museum offers permanent galleries including the popular Dinosaurs exhibit, temporary and touring exhibitions; and has a collection of more than 18 million objects spanning culture and natural history.

The Australian Museum is fully accessible to visitors using wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The main entrance features a ramp with no steps, ensuring easy access for disabled individuals and wheelchair users. Inside, two elevators connect all floors, allowing seamless navigation throughout the building. While most exhibition areas are step-free, the Westpac Long Gallery on the G floor includes some steps. The UG level houses a dining area that can also be accessed via a ramp or elevator. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on every floor, enhancing convenience for visitors. Although the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot, the nearest parking is located at 70 Riley St, Darlinghurst. 

Australian Museum

Bodhi is accessible for wheelchair users. A ramp provides step-free access from in front of St Mary’s Cathedral on College Street down to the venue. Some of Bodhi’s indoor and outdoor seating is inaccessible for wheelchair users, but the venue does have an accessible toilet.
The closest accessible toilets can be found in the Ensacon carpark on 2 Cathedral Street.

Bodhi Restaurant

Braza Darling Harbour is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. There are wooden benches in the outdoor area but it would be possible to make an arrangement with the venue. Staff can arrange a wheelchair accessible table outside and provide enough space between the tables depending on the time of the day. If the venue is too busy, however, they won’t be able to. There is a shared accessible toilet and accessible parking spots can be found on Darling Harbour.

Braza Darling Harbour

The Social Quarter is an accessible cafe with ramp access from Darling Quarter to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables inside the small dining area are accessible. There is accessible outdoor seating as well, but some is inaccessible due to high benches. The space between tables is restricted.

The Social Quarter

Hunter & Barrel is an accessible restaurant located at Cockle Bay Wharf. There is a ramp outside the venue enabling step-free access into the restaurant, which is all on one-level. Tables are generously spaced and accessible. There are even outside tables which Arte accessible as well. Designated accessible toilets can be found on site as well. The closest carpark is Wilson on Sussex Street.

Hunter & Barrel

Cafe del Mar has a ramp at the entrance providing step-free access into the venue.  All places inside are accessible without exceptions. There is accessible seating outside on the terrace, but some tables cannot be used as there are high benches. There is plenty of room between the tables for a wheelchair to move and staff will also allocate you a  tables if not.There are no accessible toilets inside the venue but there are facelities nearby which can be reached by elevator.

Cafe Del Mar Sydney

Martin Place Station is accessible to wheelchair users. Step-free access is gained via a lift between Phillip Street and Macquarie Street - not all entrances are step-free. There are lifts down to the platform and a portable boarding ramp onto the train. 

The new reforms in Martin Place station have modified and improved the accessibility of the site. There are two loft access in the aforementioned streets and the station is gully navigable with help centers, toilets in all floors and lifts connecting all parts of the street- concours- platforms

The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. Baia The Italian is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Harbour. There are steps at the entrance but you can find a ramp next door to access the venue. There are no accessible toilets onsite but there is an accessible public toilet nearby.

Blackbird Cafe

Stacks Taverna is an accessible bar and restaurant with ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. 
There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. Outdoor tables are also available in the venue. The space between tables is restricted but the staff will make it work.

Stacks Taverna

The Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre is an intimate venue located near Darling Harbour on the western fringe of Sydney’s CBD, with terrific transport links via train, bus, light rail and road. Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre is part of the Monkey Baa theatre. Like the Monkey Baa it is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is accessible seating inside and out but the room between tables is pretty tight, however, the staff will be able to make as much room as possible for your visit in the venue.

Nick's Seafood Restaurant

The Helm Bar is fully accessible for wheelchair users.  A lift situated between the adjoining shops on the ground floor provides step-free access to the first floor bar and dining area.  During the week almost all tables are accessible, whereas on the weekend the tables on the first floor are replaced with high tables and benches. Make sure to contact them to arrange a good table. There is plenty of space between the tables so there shouldn’t be a problem within the venue. Designated accessible unisex toilets are available inside the venue.

Helm Bar

Taste Baguette & Grill is an accessible takeaway cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access to the counter, but there are no inside tables. The venue’s outdoor seating is mostly inaccessible due to the use of benches and high tables but there are also some other tables to chose from. There is no accessible toilet on site.

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café is an accessible cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout. A wheelchair user can sit at tables inside and outside. If you inform the staff before your arrival they will make sure there is enough space between the tables.
An accessible toilet can be found on site.
Designated parking spots are available on Harbour street. From there you can take a lift to get to the venue.

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café Darling Harbour

An easy to access café in the lobby on 347 Kent Street.  The doors to the lobby are automatic and slide open, with wide access.  There is no alternative access.  There are several tables that are spaced apart from each other, wide enough to fit a wheelchair at.  All the tables are low.  There is no toilet.  The staff are also very accommodating in general. Parking is limited as it is located in the CBD.

Kent Street Fare

The theatre is fully wheelchair accessible. There is step-free access into and throughout the building, with wheelchair spaces in every theatre.  To access the theatre wheelchair users have to go through different doors where they can find ramps to the theatres. The wheelchair spaces can be found in the first row. In the Foyer accessible toilets are available.

Monkey Baa Theatre Company

Gelatissimo is an accessible ice cream store located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible, however, the seating arrangements outside are more suitable for wheelchair users. Gelatissimo provides accessible toilets on site.

Darling Harbour, Pier 26 is an accessible ferry terminal. There is step-free access into and throughout the terminal, which is unmanned. There is a portable boarding ramp to enable wheelchair access onto the ferries.

Much more than just a city garden, the walled Chinese Garden respectfully recreates the philosophy and harmony of a traditional Chinese garden in its waterfalls, lakes, exotic plants, pavilions and hidden pathways. With koi carp swimming in the lakes, willows weeping in the breeze and a teahouse serving Chinese tea and dim sum. The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tourist attraction located at Darling Harbour. There is an entry fee into the gardens, but they are only partially accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp at the front of the venue providing step-free access. Pathways and pavilions in the lower garden are accessible for wheelchairs, however, steps and rocky pathways make the upper part of the garden difficult to access. The closest passenger drop-off point to the garden and accessible parking possibility is on Harbour Street. The Chinese Garden has a fully upgraded accessible toilet.

Aquarium, Darling Harbour is an accessible ferry terminal. There is step-free access into and throughout the terminal, which is unmanned. There is a portable boarding ramp to enable wheelchair access onto the ferries.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium (formerly Sydney Aquarium) contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access throughout the venue, with ramps providing access to different levels of the aquarium. Accessible toilets are located at the entrance and exit of the attraction.
wheelchairs are available to hire for free from guest services on arrival on a first come, first served basis.
Due to the steepness of some ramps that lead down to the deeper oceanariums (Shark Valley and Dugong Island), wheelchair users may find they require extra assistance.

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium

The Children’s Playground at Darling Quarter has an array of fun activities that promote learning and imagination for all ages. Water games, climbing ropes, swings, slides, and a flying fox will keep the kids entertained for hours. 
Darling Harbour Children's Playground is accessible to wheelchair users. Some areas of the park cannot be accessed due to steps, but large parts are accessible. The terrain is smooth and flat. cafes, restaurants and picnic areas are available nearby. There is no specific playground equipment designed for children in wheelchairs.
Several accessible toilets are located at the park. 
Darling Quarter conveniently offers accessible parking from Harbour Street in Wilson Carpark.

Darling Harbour Children's Playground

Tumbalong Park is very wheelchair friendly. The Terrain is flat and smooth and within the park you can either find ramps or lifts to access other areas. The park is completely accessible, there are no areas which a wheelchair user cannot access. The park has two big picnic and playground areas where everyone can take a break and enjoy the park.
There is accessible parking on Wheat Road in Darling Harbour, next to the aquarium. You will find 6 designated parking spots which are generally free of charge.
Wheelchair users will also find an accessible public toilet.

Tumbalong Park

Palm Grove is a serene haven nestled right on the waterfront of Darling Harbour.  Enjoy stunning views of the harbour, relax under the shade of palm trees, or take a leisurely stroll along the promenade. Palm Grove is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the Sydney sunshine.

Palm Grove

Jam Record Bar is a vibrant, Tokyo-inspired vinyl bar located at 320 George Street in Sydney’s CBD,  The bar is relatively small, with only about 40 seats and a walk-in-only policy, which can make it crowded, especially during peak times. The venue’s popularity and compact layout may present challenges for wheelchair users or those with mobility needs, particularly if the space is crowded. 

The restaurant is located opposite the train station, in George Street so parking or drop off directly in front of the venue is not accessible if you come by private transport. However, accessibility is quite easy if you decide to come by train, since it stops nearby and surfaces are flat enough to allow easy access. The closest accessible parking is located in 86-88 Pitt Street, Eastside, between Angel Place and Hunter Street and all you need is to cross the street trough Angel Place and get to Jam Bar. The entrance is small but flat and accessible, with no stairs, making it easy to use. Inside, the restaurant has sufficient space to manoeuvre but it can be challenging. There are some small tables outside the restaurant( easier for mobility devices to come in), inside it might be trickier due to narrow corridors and the restricted space. The toilet has been adapted to  accessibility means but to get to the toilet, the corridors are extremely tight and you might have to ask people to get closer to the bar.

There is no accessible bathroom on-site. The closest public accessible bathroom is inside Wynyard train station, which is approximately 300 meters away.

Street parking is located: 68 Pitt Street, Eastside, corner of Pitt Street and Hunt Street and 86-88 Pitt Street Eastside, between Angel Place and Hunter Street.

The closest private accessible parking is Secure Parking Pty Ltd underground carpark, 109 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000, which is approx. 300 meters away. Disability access and lift access at this car park is restricted outside of building opening hours Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm and all day on the weekend.

JAM Record Bar

Madame Tussauds Sydney is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access into and throughout the attraction, but the venue warn that large motorised wheelchairs may not be able to access all exhibits. Madama Tussaud´s offers a small number of wheelchairs for free hire on a first come, first served basis. Accessible toilets can be found onsite.
There is no carpark onsite but there are several ones nearby for example in Sussex Street or in Murray Street.

Madame Tussauds Sydney

Step-free access into the Bristol Arms Hotel can only be gained via the bistro entrance on Slip Street, which is just off Sussex Street. Bristol Arms is made up of three distinct spaces. At top of the hotel sits the Bristol Rooftop with its spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The ground floor hosts the Public Bar and TAB, with big screens throughout to show all sport, and a beer garden. 
The bistro level is the only floor accessible by wheelchair, meaning the bar and terrace areas are inaccessible. There are toilets on the bistro level, but they are not designated accessible.

Bristol Arms Hotel

A symbol of Australia’s industrial history, Pyrmont Bridge is one of the world's oldest surviving electrically operated swingspan bridges.
Pyrmont Bridge is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a lift onto the bridge from Wheat Road. The bridge itself is step-free and easily accessible by wheelchair. There are accessible toilets located at the Wheat Road end of the bridge on Cockle Bay Wharf.
On each end there are several accessible cafes and restaurants. Parking spots can be found on Wheat Road.

Pyrmont Bridge

Located on Sydney’s iconic waterfront at King Street Wharf, Casa Ristorante Italiano is an accessible restaurant with step-free access into and throughout the venue. Space between tables can be tight in places, but there is plenty of accessible seating inside and out. The venue also offers an accessible toilet.
Designated parking spots can be found in the carpark on Cuthbert Street.

Casa Ristorante Italiano

Cargo Bar & Lounge is an accessible restaurant and bar offering step-free access from its promenade entry on King Street Wharf. The upper floor the venue is not accessible by wheelchair. Otherwise, there is plenty of accessible seating inside and outside.The staff will make room between the tables to ensure a smooth stay.  The venue has shared accessible toilets. Accessible parking spots are available on Sussex Street.

Cargo Bar & Lounge

The Domain is the venue for large-scale events such as Opera in the Park during the Festival of Sydney in January and Carols by Candlelight in December each year.
The main part of the parkland takes in the peninsula on the eastern flank of the Royal Botanic Gardens, just next to Mrs Macquarie's Point.Domain is an accessible park on St Marys Road. There is step-free access into and around the park, which has a varying gradient throughout. There are accessible toilets but the cubicles are very small and barely provide enough room for a wheelchair. There are no restaurants or cafes nearby but when you enter the Botanic Garden you will find some indoor and outdoor venues. Picnic areas can be found on site.
Accessible parking bays are provided near the Woolloomooloo Gate and outside the Art Gallery of NSW.

The Domain

This Indian restaurantnt can only be accessed via a lift from the promenade level, which takes you to the first floor. Space between tables is restricted, but most are accessible. Outside tables are provided as well which are accessible. There are also designated accessible toilets on the restaurant level. Accessible parking spots can be found on Lime Street.

Manjits @ The Wharf - Indian Restaurant

The Library Bar is an entertaining place, full of joy, that makes you feel like part of the scene and conjures a sense of friendship in an accessible atmosphere. You enter through Shakespeare Place, into a very wide open space with a corridor that feels like stepping into a fairytale. The entrances are flat, and after passing through the corridor, you’ll find a lift to the left that takes you directly upstairs. This leads to the main entrance, with open thresholds and a smooth, flat surface.

The venue itself is wide and spacious, making it easy to navigate. At the bar, the counter is a little high, but the good part is that they offer table service. You can simply scan the QR code from your table, and they’ll bring the drinks or food directly to you.

If you’d like to freshen up or check your makeup, the accessible toilets are located in the open terrace area, just past the bar. They are spacious, fitted with manual doors, and include a handrail on the left-hand side.

For those who want to go even higher, you can take the inner lift to the upper level of the bar, where you’ll feel closer to the sky — and, if you’re lucky, even spot a shooting star.

The Library Bar

There are six entrances to Wynyard station (useful to know because they span a steep hill). All of them are accessible: the main entrances on George Street (the concourse is reached by a wide gentle ramp) and the walkway to the Barangaroo precinct, the quieter York Street, Kent Street (closed on weekends), and Clarence Street entrances (concourse reached by lift), and the much smaller Harrington Street entrance (concourse reached by lift).


Wynyard Station

The State Library of New South Wales is a historic and iconic cultural institution in Sydney. It houses an extensive collection of books, manuscripts, and exhibits, offering a space for learning and exploration. The library is also a hub for research, events, and community engagement.

While the main entrance features several steps, a dedicated ramp on the right-hand side provides a wheelchair-friendly path to an elevator for entry. Inside, two elevators allow disabled and wheelchair users to access all floors, with no steps in any exhibition areas. Each level includes a disabled-access restroom, ensuring comfort and convenience. Although the library does not have its own parking, the nearest parking facility is located at Sydney Hospital. Overall, the library is highly accommodating for visitors with disabilities.

ICC Sydney is Asia Pacific's premier integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct, underlining Sydney's place as one of the world's most desirable meeting and event destinations and providing the ideal platform to collaborate and innovate.
The center is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There are plenty of accessible, step-free entrances from street level. Each floor of the building can be reached via lift.  Also every auditorium and room in the building is accessible by wheelchair. 
Wheelchair seating with adjacent companion seating is available in all theatre venues. Lowered counters at key retail and service points are installed.
Onsite there are designated accessible toilets available and accessible parking spots can be found onsite as well. There are 11 in total.

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney)

Located on the ground floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre, it's a fully accessible and wheelchair friendly restaurant. The shopping centre entrance provides step-free access into a generously spaced indoor seating area. It also has an accessible toilet. There are also outside tables. To make your visit easier, call in advance and staff will make sure you have a table that is easy to get to. Accessible parking is available nearby. 


Cyren Bar Grill Seafood

Located on the ground floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre, The Watershed Hotel is an accessible restaurant. The shopping centre entrance provides step-free access into a generously spaced indoor seating area. The outside seating can only be accessed from Cockle Bay Wharf and there are steps leading up to the bar. The space between the tables is tight but inform the staff about your arrival and they will make it work.
There is an accessible toilet onsite and parking spots can be found within the Harbor side shopping center´s carpark.

The Watershed Hotel

Lal Qila Darling Harbour is an accessible Indian and Pakistani restaurant offering step-free access from its Lime Street entry.  Not all areas inside are accessible because of a big step. But there is plenty of accessible seating outside. The venue doesn’t have designated  toilets for wheelchair users. Accessible parking spots can be found on Shelley Street.

Lal Qila Darling Harbour

Nick's Bar and Grill is an accessible restaurant and bar offering step-free access from its promenade entry on King Street Wharf.  All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, and there is plenty of accessible seating inside and out. There is also enough space between the tables but make sure to call them anyway before your visit to ensure a smooth stay. The restaurant offers an accessible toilet and also accessible parking for wheelchair users.

Located in Harbourside Shopping Centre’s ground floor food court, Hero Sushi is a takeaway Japanese restaurant which can easily be reached by lift. There is accessible and generous seating in the food court, which also has designated accessible unisex toilets.

Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf features 91 modern rooms, with easy access to Sydney buses, ferries and trains as well as the Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife World, Imax Theatre, Sydney Showboats, Australian National Maritime Museum and Circular Quay.
Located on Shelley Street, ibis Sydney King Street Wharf is accessible to wheelchair users inside and throughout the hotel. The lobby and bar areas are accessible, have a wheelchair friendly toilet and there are lifts to each floor.  The hotel has 4 designated accessible rooms which have an open-plan wet room with a roll-in shower. There is also an accessible parking spot very close to the hotel entrance.

Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf

CM Espresso is a cafe located on the ground floor of the Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is step-free access to the counter and a number of tables.  Wheelchair users will have plenty of space in the cafe. The nearest toilets can be found in the centre’s nearby food court.
Harbourside Shopping Center offers its own carpark with designated parking spots for wheelchair users.

CM Espresso

Andersen's of Denmark is an accessible ice cream shop. There is a small amount of accessible seating around the outside kiosk but there is more and generous seating in the food court, which has designated accessible unisex toilets. Accessible parking spots can be found in the Harborurside shopping center carpark.

The toilets are also inaccessible because of several steps leading up to them but there are accessible toilets within the shopping center. There is accessible seating inside and outside. For accessible parking you can also use the carpark of the shopping center.

Located on the ground floor of the gallery, Chiswick is an accessible restaurant. Entry to the gallery is partially accessible. You can't get to some of the tables.  However, there is still plenty of accessible seating and also an accessible unisex toilet. Outside tables are not available.

Waterfront Grill steakhouse is an accessible restaurant in Harbourside Shopping Centre and located on the water at Darling Harbour. 
There is step-free access into the restaurant, but not all areas are accessible due to steps. There are no toilets on site but there are accessible toilets in the shopping center next to it. There are ramps to access the shopping center. 
Wheelchair users can sit inside or out but make sure to call the venue before your visit so they can arrange a special table. They will also make enough space between the tables to ensure there is sufficient room to move.
Accessible parking spots are available at the shopping center.

Criniti’s is an Italian restaurant and bar located on the first floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is a lift on the ground floor providing step-free access to the entrance. The venue is step-free, and most seating areas can be easily accessed. There is seating inside and outside on the terrace. The space is in some parts restricted but the tables can be allocated to ensure there is enough room for a wheelchair. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet on site and designated parking spots can be found in the Harbourside shopping center carpark.

Blue Fish is an accessible restaurant offering step-free access from its Harbourside Shopping Centre location. Not all areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, but there is accessible seating inside and out. There are accessible toilets in the shopping center where also accessible parking spots can be found.

Strike is a bar and bowling alley offering step-free access from its entry on the promenade at King Street Wharf. All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair except for the ‘escape' rooms. There is a lift to provide access to the bowling alley. The venue has seating outside, but  high benches make it inaccessible. However inside there is generous space.
There are accessible toilets onsite and the closest accessible parking spots are on Lime Street.

Strike Darling Harbour

The Gallery presents fine international and Australian art in one of the most beautiful art museums in the world. It displays modern and contemporary works in expansive, light-filled spaces. It is largely accessible to wheelchair users. There is a dramatic semicircular ramp to the right of the front stone steps providing access into the building and there are ramps inside providing access to the various exhibits. Lifts provide access to the various floors and down to the gallery cafe and gift shop. Most tables in Chiswick, the gallery restaurant, are also accessible. There are also unisex toilets on site. Parts of the research library and archive are not accessible. There are two disabled parking spaces at front of the Gallery, two at rear.

The Port

Bar Bellacinno is an accessible cafe located on Pitt Street. 
There is a ramp to the side of the cafe which permits access to the counter and indoor seating area and limited seating at the back. There are no tables outside the venue, which doesn’t have any accessible toilets.
There is even a small takeaway store next door to grab shopping on the way home.
Designated parking spots can be found around 50 meters away in the Wilson carpark.

Kazbah is an accessible restaurant in Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is step-free access into the restaurant from the shopping centre entrance. The outside area is not accessible due to steps. There is accessible seating inside but the space is cramped. Make sure you call the venue before you arrive so the staff can arrange a perfect table. There are no accessible toilets onsite but in the shopping center designated toilets can be found.

This Baskin-Robbins is located on the ground floor of Harbourside Shopping Centre. There are no tables as this is purely a takeaway kiosk. The nearest accessible toilets can be found in the centre’s nearby food court.

There is step-free access throughout, although not all tables are accessible. The outdoor seating is also accessible to wheelchair users. There are only unisex toilets on site but there is an accessible toilet nearby at Monkey Baa.  Wheelchair friendly parking spots are only available in the underground car park.

McDonald's Darling Harbour

The Pavilion is an accessible fine dining restaurant located in the corner of Domain park on Art Gallery Road. Step-free access is available upon entry and throughout the venue, which has plenty of accessible seating both inside and outside. There is an accessible toilet on site.
Accessible parking bays are provided near the Woolloomooloo Gate and outside the Art Gallery of NSW.
