Bar Thirty6 is a partially accessible restaurant located inside of the Pullman Sydney Hyde Park in Darlinghurst, serving a variety of food and drinks. There are steps to get into the restaurant, however a portable ramp is able to be placed over the stairs upon request. There is an accessible toilet located on ground floor inside of the hotel, toilets are on the right hand side of reception, no need to go through any corridors. There is an accessible car park at the hotel, as well as a driveway out the front of the hotel. There are 4 accessible car spots and to get to the lobby from the parking you take the lifts to the ground floor.

The Metro Theatre

The venue is wheelchair accessible with lifts to the lower ground floor where we are located via the lobby of Paramount House Hotel. Access to the cinema is via small ramps. 
In the cinema, there are reserved accessible seating available towards the back of the room, only available to be booked through one of the staff members. 

Golden Age Cinema & Bar

Little Ox Cafe is a small breakfast and lunch spot located on Oxford Street. They have table service, however you order at the counter. 

There is straightforward access with no steps leading into the cafe. There is no door to the cafe, therefore it is a wide entrance. 

There is some space between tables, and tables can be moved to make extra space for wheelchair users. All tables are low tables. There are also outdoor tables

There are no toilets in the cafe, however there are some located throughout Oxford Street. 

Little Ox Cafe

The Australian Museum has a free to access, completely wheelchair accessible bathroom.

It is unisex, with wide, automatic doors from both inside and outside.

It is extremely clean and well spaces. It also has; a height adjustable, adult-sized change table, a hoist system, a peninsula toilet, circulation spaces and a privacy screen.

The Australian museum is free to enter and the bathroom is free to use. 

The closest accessible parking is on Francis St. 

Accessible Toilet

Hyde Park is a great city park that covers two blocks in the heart of the city.  It is only one block up from the main shopping area of the Pitt Street Mall and is a good spot to take some lunch and escape all the hustle and bustle.  The park is accessible and has good paths throughout for a wheelchair. Hyde Park offers step-free access from entrances on College Street and Elizabeth Street. The park is mostly of a gentle gradient, with some areas on a slight slope. There is a step running round the perimeter of every area of grass, which may mean they are inaccessible. There is a public toilet situated in the south-west corner of the park at Museum station. Accessible parking spots can be found in the carpark on Elizabeth Street.

Hyde Park

Zhang Liang Malatang is a Chinese spicy hot pot franchise chain with the Haymarket store located in the Meriton Suites on George Street Sydney.

The restaurant offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass double entry doors. Inside there are open food counters with shelves at different heights & depths to choose from. Once ingredients are selected take to the chefs who will charge you based on the weight of your ingredients & then cook your dish in a soup base of your choice.

Freestanding tables & chairs can be found in the dining area along with covered outdoor seating.

The restaurant serves malatang which is a Sichuan version of Chinese hotpot, a dish where ingredients are selected from a diverse buffet that features vegetables, noodles, meats, seafood & sauces to form a soup. The malatang difference, however, comes from the mala sauce, a Sichuan chilli pepper sauce that can cause a slight numbing sensation. And if soup doesn’t float your culinary boat, you can opt for a stir fry option.

Zhang Liang Malatang Haymarket

The Australian Museum offers permanent galleries including the popular Dinosaurs exhibit, temporary and touring exhibitions; and has a collection of more than 18 million objects spanning culture and natural history.

The Australian Museum is fully accessible to visitors using wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The main entrance features a ramp with no steps, ensuring easy access for disabled individuals and wheelchair users. Inside, two elevators connect all floors, allowing seamless navigation throughout the building. While most exhibition areas are step-free, the Westpac Long Gallery on the G floor includes some steps. The UG level houses a dining area that can also be accessed via a ramp or elevator. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on every floor, enhancing convenience for visitors. Although the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot, the nearest parking is located at 70 Riley St, Darlinghurst. 

Australian Museum

Located in the heart of the city, Sydney Town Hall is an iconic civic landmark which combines state-of-the-art venue facilities with spectacular heritage architecture and interior decoration. Builti in the late 19th Century housing the chambers of the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Council offices and venues for n=meetings and functions.

The restaurant is open for lunch & dinner, offers both indoor & outdoor seating, eat in & takeaway options.

Accessible parking can be found closeby at Market City along with accessible toilets.

Thai 44 is a Thai restaurant offering a wide variety of traditional dishes such as Grapao (Thai basil stir-fry rice), Tom Yum hot pot, and popular street-style snacks. They also serve smoothies, milk teas, and other sweet beverages. The entrance to the restaurant is step-free and the doors are kept open, making it easy for wheelchair users or people with prams to enter without assistance. The door width is also wide enough to be wheelchair-friendly. There is outdoor seating available, and the height of the ordering counter is suitable for wheelchair users. If assistance is needed, the staff are approachable and willing to help. Photos also show the interior layout, which includes both standard seating and some more spacious arrangements. A clear image of the menu is available for those who want to preview dish options in advance. However, please note that there is no accessible toilet or designated accessible parking nearby.

THAI 44

Bodhi is accessible for wheelchair users. A ramp provides step-free access from in front of St Mary’s Cathedral on College Street down to the venue. Some of Bodhi’s indoor and outdoor seating is inaccessible for wheelchair users, but the venue does have an accessible toilet.
The closest accessible toilets can be found in the Ensacon carpark on 2 Cathedral Street.

Bodhi Restaurant

The East Sydney Community and Arts Centre has two entrances, both offering step-free access via lifts. Clear accessibility signage is present throughout the venue. Unisex wheelchair-accessible toilets, along with baby change facilities and a parent room, are located on the upper level of the centre. The lower level features ambulant-accessible toilets, a short distance from the building’s second entrance. These facilities are well signposted, making the space easy to navigate for visitors! 

East Sydney Community and Arts Centre

This local Indian take away place is in the middle of Oxford Street.

They provide one table in the outside in case you have difficulty becoming the one step at the very entrance.

The venue is small but if you can make it inside their dishes look amazing,  you can always take away or eat in any of the tables inside,  are sure they can put some chairs aside and accommodate for your arrival.

 They do not have toilets for the public but 15 minutes away there is an accessible hotel.

This Indian food place is a local spot  popular in peak  hours.

They provide small tables in the outside  for those with  mobility needs. it should be very easy to accommodate. On arrival you can let the staff know that you are here and they will help you ordering and enjoying a nice experience. 
 

The main entrance fresh hole it’s quite narrow and it presents one step that might be challenging for some.  If you can make it up the step, it should be easy for you to navigate the venue despite being moderately spacious. 

The toilet area inside the venue is at the very back and definitely not accessible since you will have to go up five steps. 
 

If you make it to the inside and buy through the counter area which will be the narrowest space you can encounter, then you’ll find several small tables where you can sit with any mobility device.

North Indian Cuisine

Much more than just a city garden, the walled Chinese Garden respectfully recreates the philosophy and harmony of a traditional Chinese garden in its waterfalls, lakes, exotic plants, pavilions and hidden pathways. With koi carp swimming in the lakes, willows weeping in the breeze and a teahouse serving Chinese tea and dim sum. The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tourist attraction located at Darling Harbour. There is an entry fee into the gardens, but they are only partially accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp at the front of the venue providing step-free access. Pathways and pavilions in the lower garden are accessible for wheelchairs, however, steps and rocky pathways make the upper part of the garden difficult to access. The closest passenger drop-off point to the garden and accessible parking possibility is on Harbour Street. The Chinese Garden has a fully upgraded accessible toilet.

Chinese Garden Of Friendship

St James is accessible to wheelchair users. Step-free access is gained via a lift from the Elizabeth Street entrance at the edge of Hyde Park. There are lifts and gentle ramps to take wheelchair users to the platforms. A portable boarding ramp onto the train is available and there is also an accessible unisex toilet in the station.

St James Station

Braza Darling Harbour is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. There are wooden benches in the outdoor area but it would be possible to make an arrangement with the venue. Staff can arrange a wheelchair accessible table outside and provide enough space between the tables depending on the time of the day. If the venue is too busy, however, they won’t be able to. There is a shared accessible toilet and accessible parking spots can be found on Darling Harbour.

Braza Darling Harbour

Stacks Taverna is an accessible bar and restaurant with ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. 
There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. Outdoor tables are also available in the venue. The space between tables is restricted but the staff will make it work.
There is also an accessible toilet. Available parking spots can be found on Harbour Street.

Stacks Taverna

Dopa Donburi and Dessert is a stylish Japanese eatery known for its comforting rice bowls and beautifully presented desserts like kakigori and shibuya toast. The entrance is fully step-free and wide, allowing smooth access for wheelchair users and those with prams or walkers. While the door is not automatic, it remains open during business hours, making entry effortless.

Inside, the space is bright and welcoming, with a range of seating options. Both high and low tables are available, ensuring comfort for wheelchair users. The pathways between tables are spacious enough for easy navigation. There's also an outdoor seating area with level flooring, providing further accessible options. The ordering counter is low enough to approach with a wheelchair, and the friendly staff are always happy to assist.

Though no accessible toilet was identified nearby, the layout of the restaurant supports a relaxed dining experience for customers with mobility needs. Photos show the ample interior space, inclusive seating arrangements, and visually engaging menu. While no designated accessible parking was found immediately adjacent, the flat footpath and open layout contribute positively to the venue’s accessibility.

Dopa Donburi and Dessert - Darling Square

Located at the edge of Hyde Park and next to the entrance to St James train station, Metro St James is an inaccessible cafe and restaurant. Steps around the perimeter of the property prevent wheelchair access and there is no portable ramp on site to assist.

Metro St James

The Kashbah Hotel on William Street is a lively, fun pub with a great atmosphere and a solid selection of drinks, perfect for a casual night out.

However, being an older building and due to strata regulations, the pub isn’t able to make renovations to improve accessibility. There’s a step at the entrance, and since William Street is a bit hilly, there's a small (about 5 cm) step that helps balance the building, which can be tricky for mobility devices to get over.

Unfortunately, there’s no outside seating area either, so the pub isn’t really accessible for those with mobility needs. It's a great spot for those who can navigate the steps, but not the best choice if accessibility is a concern.

Strand Kasbah

The Social Quarter is an accessible cafe with ramp access from Darling Quarter to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables inside the small dining area are accessible. There is accessible outdoor seating as well, but some is inaccessible due to high benches. The space between tables is restricted.
Accessible toilets cannot be found onsite. The closest carpark is Wilson parking.

The Social Quarter

O‘gallo is a food chain. The little store in Oxford Street in Darlinghurst is quite small and cozy. 
They provide 2-3 outdoor tables for everyone to enjoy their meal. 
The venue is not step-free however there’s only one small step will allow some devices to go in  check accessibility pictures for more information. 

They have booth tables and small tables inside that can definitely accommodate for wheelchair users too. 
They do not have a accessible toilets within the venue.

 Located on the ground floor, Parlour has just the right amount of space to comfortably welcome guests, whether you’re stopping in for a quick, delicious lunch or a fancy drink and nibbles.

If you're in the mood for something a bit more sophisticated, just take the lift up to the hotel reception on level 1. From there, the staff will guide you through the spacious, opulent reception area to another lift that takes you up to level 2, where you’ll find the main restaurant.

Every space in the restaurant on level 2 is accessible, with flat surfaces and generous spacing between tables, the bar, and the kitchen area. They’ve really put thought into making the experience easy and comfortable for everyone.

Restrooms are on level 1 near the hotel reception. Just ask for directions, or follow the signs for accessible facilities; you’ll find a spacious restroom with handrails, located on the left as you exit the lifts.

Parlour

This small takeaway venue provides sitting inside the venue however the tables are high tables and there are not outside tables. 
 The counter  is not too high so it would be easy to order even from the inside or even from the outside if you let the nice staff  know that you are there.

The entrance of the venue present has a small step that might be easy to overcome for some people with mobility limitations.

They do not have toilets for the public, however they mentioned that the closest toilets available for use are up the road in the corner where the hotels are.

BL Burgers

The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. But the staff will be happy to arrange a special table inside or outside before your arrival. There is also an accessible toilet on site.

The Naked Duck Darling Quarter

Central station is at the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It is the largest and busiest railway station in NSW and services almost all of the lines on the Sydney Trains network, and is the major terminus for NSW TrainLink services. It occupies a large city block separating Haymarket, Surry Hills, and the CBD, bounded by Railway Square and Pitt Street in the west, Eddy Avenue in the north, and Elizabeth Street in the east. It is spread over two levels. On the lower-level are the trains serving the Sydney network. The platforms are reached by a series of lifts.

On the upper level are the Country trains serving the wider NSW network, from the original Grand Concourse. The two levels are connected by a large lift. Very occasionally, if this is not operating, a member of station staff can escort you through a staff only route, between the two levels.

The taxi pickup and drop-off point is on the upper Grand Concourse level.

If replacement buses are running when there are line closures, these leave from Eddy Avenue, near the taxis.

There are accessible toilets on both levels. These are locked with an MLAK. If you don't have a key, ask an attendant or station staff.

Central Station

Small and welcoming venue in Oxford street with a wide entrance, very accessible. The floor is at flat level and they have a small table that connects the inside and the outside of the venue. 
 

You can try their delicious gyros inside the venue or you can take away  ordering in the counter.

No accessible toilets are found in the venue. 

Santorini Gyros Bar

Taste Baguette & Grill is an accessible takeaway cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access to the counter, but there are no inside tables. The venue’s outdoor seating is mostly inaccessible due to the use of benches and high tables but there are also some other tables to chose from. There is no accessible toilet on site.

There is step-free access throughout but it is very tight inside the venue so there is barely access for wheelchair users. However there is accessible outdoor seating. The Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre is an intimate venue located near Darling Harbour on the western fringe of Sydney’s CBD, with terrific transport links via train, bus, light rail and road. Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre is part of the Monkey Baa theatre. Like the Monkey Baa it is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access into and throughout the building, with wheelchair spaces in every theatre in the first row.  Accessible toilets can be found in the Foyer.

Nok Nok e is an accessible Asian eatery located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance.  Wheelchair users can't sit inside as there are mainly benches, leaving only outside tables.  There is a shared accessible toilet.

Nok Nok Thai Eating House

An open-air cafe by the water's edge a short distance from the Sydney Opera House. Fully wheelchair friendly (although some tables inaccessible). There is a public accessible toilet nearby, in between the Opera Bar and the Opera Kitchen.

Portobello Caffe

Tumbalong Park is very wheelchair friendly. The Terrain is flat and smooth and within the park you can either find ramps or lifts to access other areas. The park is completely accessible, there are no areas which a wheelchair user cannot access. The park has two big picnic and playground areas where everyone can take a break and enjoy the park.
There is accessible parking on Wheat Road in Darling Harbour, next to the aquarium. You will find 6 designated parking spots which are generally free of charge.
Wheelchair users will also find an accessible public toilet.

Tumbalong Park

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café is an accessible cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout. A wheelchair user can sit at tables inside and outside. If you inform the staff before your arrival they will make sure there is enough space between the tables.
An accessible toilet can be found on site.
Designated parking spots are available on Harbour street. From there you can take a lift to get to the venue.

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café Darling Harbour

The Oxford Hotel has a second entrance past the outdoor seating that is accessible via a ramp, as the main entrance includes a small set of stairs. The accessible entrance leads directly into the games room on the left and the main bar area to the right. This bar area has plenty of seating and space between tables, however they are higher tables with taller seats. Lower tables and seating is available in the garden further into the bar area. An accessible toilet is located within the games room. While signage indicating accessible features is limited, staff are friendly and happy to assist! There is also plenty of outdoor seating available along the footpath at the front of the venue.

The Oxford Hotel

The theatre is fully wheelchair accessible. There is step-free access into and throughout the building, with wheelchair spaces in every theatre.  To access the theatre wheelchair users have to go through different doors where they can find ramps to the theatres. The wheelchair spaces can be found in the first row. In the Foyer accessible toilets are available.
Designated parking spots can be found in Wilson Carpark on Harbour Street. You can call them and book a designated parking spot.

Gelatissimo is an accessible ice cream store located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible, however, the seating arrangements outside are more suitable for wheelchair users. Gelatissimo Darling Quarter

The Children’s Playground at Darling Quarter has an array of fun activities that promote learning and imagination for all ages. Water games, climbing ropes, swings, slides, and a flying fox will keep the kids entertained for hours. 
Darling Harbour Children's Playground is accessible to wheelchair users. Some areas of the park cannot be accessed due to steps, but large parts are accessible. The terrain is smooth and flat. cafes, restaurants and picnic areas are available nearby. There is no specific playground equipment designed for children in wheelchairs.
Several accessible toilets are located at the park. 
Darling Quarter conveniently offers accessible parking from Harbour Street in Wilson Carpark.

Darling Harbour Children's Playground

The Shift Eatery in Surry Hills is a trendy, 100% plant-based café known for its delicious vegan sandwiches, coffee, and brunch dishes. It offers a casual and cozy atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a  spot for those seeking healthy, cruelty-free meals in the heart of Sydney.

The café is wheelchair accessible thanks to a ramp at the entrance, allowing mobility devices to enter the venue without any issues. However, since it is a small space, navigating inside may be more challenging during busy hours. You can easily place your order inside and enjoy your coffee or meal in either the indoor or outdoor seating areas, depending on the weather.

Unfortunately, the toilets in the venue are not accessible. The door threshold is quite narrow, and reaching the communal bathroom requires going up some steps.  Closest accessible toilets can be found at Central Train Station.

Shift Eatery

Palm Grove

Cantina OK! is a extremely small, chic tequila bar which specialises in margaritas and cocktails with handmade agave syrups.

Although the entrance allows mobility devices to get in, there is not much room inside the venue and your device will probably take the whole space.

This hole-in-the-wall spot is located in the middle of the city and has no parking on site, however it is across from 44 Market Street Parking, which has multiple disability parking spots. 

There are no chairs at the bar, instead there are many tables on the wall and bar that people gather around. They are licensed for outside of their venue, where people are welcome to drink. 

Cantina OK!

Lindt Chocolate Café is located on Cockle Bay Wharf and fully accessible to wheelchair users.  A ramp from along the Wharf provides access to the venue, or access can also be gained via Wheat Road. Space is tight between tables but there is accessible seating inside and out. It is better to visit the venue on a weekday as it is very busy on the weekend and there wont be much space for a wheelchair.
There is an accessible toilet onsite and parking facilities can be found in the Wilson carpark or on Wheat Road.

Nick’s Seafood Restaurant located on Cockle Bay Wharf is fully accessible to wheelchair users. A ramp from along the Wharf provides access to the venue, or access can also be gained via Wheat Road. There is accessible seating inside and out but the room between tables is pretty tight, however, the staff will be able to make as much room as possible for your visit in the venue. 
A wheelchair friendly toilet is provided onsite and parking spots can be found in Wilson carpark on Sussex Street.

Cafe del Mar has a ramp at the entrance providing step-free access into the venue.  All places inside are accessible without exceptions. There is accessible seating outside on the terrace, but some tables cannot be used as there are high benches. There is plenty of room between the tables for a wheelchair to move and staff will also allocate you a  tables if not.There are no accessible toilets inside the venue but there are facelities nearby which can be reached by elevator.
The closest accessible parking spots can be found on Wheat Street on in 201 Sussex Street.

Adria Bar Restaurant  is accessible. A ramp from along the Wharf provides access to the venue, or access can also be gained via Wheat Road. Space is tight between tables but there is accessible seating inside and out.  Make sure to call the venue before you arrive then they will be able to arrange a table and make some room to make it easier to move inside the venue. There is an accessible toilet on site.
Available parking spots can be found on Susses Street in Wilson Carpark.

Adria Bar Restaurant

Darlinghurst Courthouse was constructed in 1835-1845 in response to overcrowding issues at King Street Courts.  It was the first purpose-built criminal court in the colony and has been used ever since as a courthouse. The District Court took up residence in the early 1900s, and a new wing to the courthouse was added. In the 1920s, the newly founded High Court moved in, and additional courts were built. Today, Darlinghurst Courts constitute seven courtrooms and hears Supreme Court and District Court matters.

Access to the Courthouse is limited for those with mobility issues  due to it being a historical budiling. Entry is via Oxford Street and a ramp will be deployed to provide access to the venue and an accessible bathroom with be available on-site during the Sydney Festival.

Additional accessible toilets can be found under 1kms away at Wallamulla Park, Australian Museum & Kippax Anzac Parade. 

Darlinghurst Courthouse

In 1835, Governor Bourke, in response to the overcrowding and chaotic state of King Street Courts, directed the design of a courthouse outside Sydney Town, on the hill opposite the new goal. This was for convenient prisoner access and to separate criminal from civil matters.

Designed by colonial architect Mortimer Lewis, the Greek-revivalist building was completed in 1845. Hunter & Barrel is an accessible restaurant located at Cockle Bay Wharf. There is a ramp outside the venue enabling step-free access into the restaurant, which is all on one-level. Tables are generously spaced and accessible. There are even outside tables which Arte accessible as well. Designated accessible toilets can be found on site as well. The closest carpark is Wilson on Sussex Street.

Baia The Italian is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Harbour. There are steps at the entrance but you can find a ramp next door to access the venue. Space is restricted, however, staff will be happy to allocate the tables for a wheelchair. It is possible to sit inside and out. There are no accessible toilets onsite but there is an accessible public toilet nearby.
Accessible parking spots can be found in the Wilson carpark on Sussex Street.

Baia The Italian

Steps leading up to both entrances of Pontoon Bar in Darling Harbour makes the restaurant inaccessible to wheelchair users. There is no portable ramp on site to enable access.

Step free wheelchair accessible entrance, plenty of space inside to manoeuvre around, low counter making it easy to order and bee seen.

Indoor seating, tables are a bit close together, but there is room on the end of tables for a wheelchair.  There are also booths which again can also fit a wheelchair at the end of the table. Tables are a bit low if you are using an electric Wheelchair but can easily  accommodate height of manual wheelchair.

Ordering stations are design so you can wheel right up to and under them so you can reach the screen.

Very different to Gomez Y Gomez Tacos, might me an acquired taste for Australians, but definitely an experience.

Bills Surry Hills is an accessible venue with step free front with ramp to lower seating outdoors. Small ramp to enter the building.
Portable ramps available to get to lower seating area, can be moved.	
Entry doors are one, mid-heavy swinging door, often kept open. Lots of seating outdoors. 
Access is signposted.
A wheelchair fits easily round tables and benches, many more low tables with easy access for a wheel chair outside & no fixed seating.
There is accessible toilets, wheelchair and ambulent access.

Bills Surry Hills

The Helm Bar is fully accessible for wheelchair users.  A lift situated between the adjoining shops on the ground floor provides step-free access to the first floor bar and dining area.  During the week almost all tables are accessible, whereas on the weekend the tables on the first floor are replaced with high tables and benches. Make sure to contact them to arrange a good table. There is plenty of space between the tables so there shouldn’t be a problem within the venue. Designated accessible unisex toilets are available inside the venue.
Accessible parking can only be found on Sussex street.

Helm Bar

The University of Notre Dame has clear accessibility signage throughout the campus. While the Oxford Street entrance is not accessible, the Victoria Street entrance offers step-free access, with signage at both points directing visitors accordingly. Multiple lifts are available, and the first building to the left includes an accessible toilet and nearby accessible parking, both clearly signposted. A designated Disability and Equity Support space is located further into the campus on the right, with clear signage, and there is plenty of outdoor seating across the campus.
