Russel park is a small grassy area with a walking path along Fivedock Bay. There isn’t any accessible parking near the park but lots of street parking especially out of peak times.

There are bathrooms in the park however they are located across the grass area and also not dedicated accessible bathrooms. There is also a playground across the road part of the park, here there are some bench’s and gazebos however little to no accessible play equipment.

Russell Park

Wire mill reserve is a beautiful waterfront pathway / park along Abbotsford Bay. There are few accessible entrances, due to many of the entrances / exits being up stairs or through the apartment blocks with hilly terrain. The main accessible entrance I located is along the path between Allison Park. This is a long walkway up and down hills however there is a constant paved path through this area and is still a pleasant walk.

Due to this distance there is little to no accessible parking or normal parking at all as the reserve is surrounded by buildings and the bay, parking to come to this park would mean parking somewhere closer to Campbell or Allison parks. Once in the park there are some benches however it’s mainly just a walking track along the bay.

Accessible street parking: 40 Bay Road, Russell Lea, New South Wales, 2046

There are no bathrooms, the closest one being at the Campbell Park clubhouse which is quite far away and difficult to access from this area. 

Wire Mill Reserve

The Wharf 1 & 2 theatres are the Sydney Theatre Company’s more intimate  theatres, located very close to the main Roslyn Packer Theatre in Walsh Bay. 

They are fully wheelchair accessible (although it should be noted that the accessible entrance is a very long roll from the main theatre entrances, the cafe/bar, and the accessible toilets). 

An alternative more pleasant route (and much more comfortable if you use a wheelchair) is to go down the right hand side of the pier to the lifts towards the end.

Most people do go in via the access ramp and lift on the pier 4 entry located adjacent to the main entrance on Hickson Road.  The lifts along the wharf lead you to level 1 or 2 depending where you want to go. In level 1 you can find Wharf 2 door 1 and a bit further, Wharf 1 door 3. To reach Wharf 1 doors 1 & 2,  you need to take a lift up to the level above the main entrance (it is marked level 3 – the main theatre level being on level 2). The box office is on the ground floor level (marked level G).

There are accessible toilets along the venue in level 1, they are spacious and mobility devices- friendly.

Limited on-street parking is available outside Roslyn Packer Theatre and The Wharf theatres and there are several other public carparks nearby. at Barangaroo Point & Barangaroo Reserve.

OMI is an accessible Japanese restaurant located on The Concourse in Chatswood.

The venue offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach.  Inside is spacious with freestanding tables, chairs, banquette seating booths, high tables with stools & easy access to the counter.  There are steps down to the dining area however there is lift access inside the restaurant.

Barangaroo Reserve toilets are in an accessible park. There is step-free access to most areas, with a lift, which is located close to the Hickson Road entry, providing access to the upper level of the plot. The accessible unisex toilets are located in two locations; opposite the lifts and in a stand-alone toilet block near the entry from Town's Place. 

The  entrances to Barangaroo Reserve are from Towns Place, Hickson Road, Munn Street Reserve and Merriman Street. Wheelchair users accessing the park from the Towns Place entrance should be aware there is a 30m-long brick/cobbled pathway to navigate before the surface becomes completely smooth.

There are two accessible street parking bays on Towns Place, close to the entry to the carpark. The Wilson Parking car park beneath the Reserve provides eight accessible parking spaces on level B1.
