Accessible Playground In Small StreetHallstrom Park Playground

    Hallstrom Park in Willoughby is desgined to be a mini version of Taronga Zoo with the zoo-themed play equipment & animal statues.

    There is the oversized turtle with shell cutouts for climbing, standstone statues of elephants, gorillas & geckos, the interactive “musicosaurus” & stone crocodile hidden in the drainage channel, camouflaged by rocks. A continuous accessible path (flat to gently undulating) links the playground elements, including a mound slide (no steps), sandpit and water pump. The playground also contains a wide embankment slide, carousel, children's bike track complete with traffic signs & swings including a basket swing.

    There are picnic tables & benches, two single plate BBQs, gazebo for shade, level lawn areas, tress & Public toilets located next to the playground, including an unisex disabled toilet.

    There is off street parking next to the Willoughby Leisure Centre and netball courts (entrance from Small Street). There is on street parking adjacent to the playground and also outside the Leisure Centre. There are 2 carspaces reserved for people with disabilities on Small Street, next to the playground.

    The Incinerator Cafe & Incinerator Art Space are closeby for coffee, breakfast or lunch & explore the art space.
