BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Wollongong Art Gallery is a free cultural space in the heart of the city, offering a rotating program of exhibitions across contemporary, First Nations, and local art.
HOW TO GET THERE? - Parking & Transport
By train: Wollongong Station has lift access. From the station, it is approximately a 10–15 minute roll via paved footpaths into the CBD.
By bus: The gallery is less than 200 metres from the Burelli Street Arts Precinct bus stop, which is on the free Gong Shuttle Bus route. The Gong Shuttle (routes 55A and 55C) is free and runs every 10 minutes on weekdays (7am–6pm), every 20 minutes on weekday evenings (6pm–10pm), and every 20 minutes on weekends (8am–6pm).
Drop-off: There is a dedicated accessible drop-off and pick-up zone on Burelli Street, directly in front of the gallery and adjacent to the Arts Precinct. The path from this zone to the gallery entrance is flat and on the footpath side of Burelli Street, away from moving traffic. The main accessible entry is via a ramp on the Kembla Street side of the building.

Is there a shop? Yes! The Gallery Gift Shop is on the ground floor near the entrance and stocks a range of cards, posters, books, art journals, education kits, and gifts. The range changes regularly and often includes locally made or limited-edition items.
Do you accept Companion Cards? Wollongong City Council supports the Companion Card scheme — cardholders can present their card at Council cultural events and venues for a free second ticket for their companion. City of WollongongAs entry to the gallery is already free, a Companion Card is not required for general admission. For ticketed events or programs, present your Companion Card at the front desk.
