Tamarama Beach Playground

This small, unfenced playground is located behind Tamarama Beach and Park. The space is partially shaded and accessed via a wide paved pathway that leads to an open grassed park area. There is no direct paved entry into the playground itself, which may limit accessibility for some wheelchair users. The playground primarily caters to toddlers and older children, making it a popular destination for family outings, picnics, and birthday celebrations. Most areas of the play space are surfaced with soft‑fall material, enhancing comfort and safety. Seating areas surround the play equipment, providing clear viewing areas for carers and visitors. A variety of interactive play elements support active play, including swings, slides, see‑saws, and climbing structures. Additional seating options include both sheltered and unsheltered picnic tables with fixed benches, located near the play space and accessed via surrounding grassed areas. This is also where barbecue facilities are located. An accessible public restroom is located nearby toward the beach and can be reached via paved connecting pathways. Short‑term accessible parking is available nearby within Tamarama Park. Public transport access is also convenient, with a bus stop featuring seating and servicing routes 362 and 381 located directly outside the park on Tamarama Marine Drive.
