    Queens Park Playground

    inclusive playground
    children's park

This fenced and gated playground is located on the southern side of Queens Park, off Darley Road. It caters to babies, toddlers and older children, making it a popular space for family outings, picnics, and birthday celebrations.

From the footpath, a wide, smooth, paved pathway with a gentle incline leads to the playground entrance. Access is via a single push-swing gate fitted with a push-down, child-proof latch, which is self-closing and self-latching.

Inside the playground, paved pathways and soft-fall surfaces provide access through much of the play space. The layout allows wheelchair users to move around the main areas more easily, although sand and grassed edges are harder to access. The playground includes swings, slides, climbing equipment, tunnels, towers, and shaded play areas for younger and older children. Shade is provided by canopy structures and mature trees.

Picnic tables with fixed benches are positioned around the perimeter of the playground. Some are reached by paved paths, while others are closer to grassed areas. A barbecue facility and drinking fountain are located nearby.

An accessible toilet is located just beside the playground off the Darley Road pathway on the southern side of Queens Park.

Queens Park Kitchen is situated to the right of the playground, with a gate and pathway providing direct access between the two spaces. An additional accessible toilet is available within Queens Park Kitchen during opening hours only: Monday to Friday 7:30am–3:30pm, and Saturday to Sunday 7:30am–4:00pm.

Another accessible toilet is located separately off Baronga Avenue near Fields One and Two. It has step-free access and includes a unisex accessible toilet, shower, and family change facilities.

Accessible parking includes two designated spaces on Darley Road. Public transport is easily accessible, with bus route 356 stopping close to the intersection of Darley Road and York Road.
