Molonglo Reach District Park is a narrow strip of riverside parkland between the Molonglo River and the Royal Military College, Duntroon.

The park offers good access to the bank of the river, making it great for a picnics and taking in the sights. It is filled with non-native deciduous tree species, which change colour in autumn.

The terrain is a mix of grass, paths and gravel, so easy to navigate a wheelchair.

Stepping Stone operates a sustainable food business while providing hospitality-based employment, on-the-job training, and partnering with registered organisations to offer certified qualifications to women who face multiple barriers when seeking stable employment.

Residents can apply for permanent or casual roles at the café. They gain an income, hands-on experience and skills and qualifications through registered training organisations.

Stepping Stone is designed to be welcoming and supportive for migrant, refugee, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. It offers flexible rostering, adaptive training tools, on-the-job training and a menu that reflects the cultural diversity of the staff.

With step free entry into the spacious Museum, lifts are available for accessing each of the Museum’s three levels – Ground, Lower Ground & Level 1 (sometimes called the Mezzanine). The Museum shop is located just inside the main Museum entrance stocking homewares, glassware, jewellery, First Nations products, toys, books, bath & body products, candles, gifts & more.

Broadbean Catering is the Museum’s exclusive caterer sourcing local produce, with menus designed to match the season. There is seating inside on the deck or on comfortable lounge chairs with room to move around & easy access to the counter.

Accessible parking spaces for visitors with mobility impairment & the required permit are available free of charge, about 40 metres from our main entrance. The route is not protected from the weather.  Coach bays 5 & 9 are suitable for coaches fitted with mobility access lifts, hoists or ramps.

The Museum has a Changing Places accessible public toilet with adult change table & hoist, on the Lower Ground floor.  Unisex accessible toilets, baby change tables & an ambulant toilet are available on the Ground floor, off our Gandel Atrium.

Trained, registered & visibly identified assistance animals are welcome when accompanied by their handler.

Many of the Museum exhibitions & events are free, but costs apply for some. Companion cards & most major concession cards are accepted.
