Enjoy a free performance of some timeless classics by the Royal Military College Band
Music at MidDay is a recurring free event at the Canberra Theatre which is the creative hub for performing arts in Canberra. It is a performance suitable for all ages and is completely accessible to everyone. The performance is by the Royal Military College Band which is one of Australia’s premier military bands. They have performed at historic occasions including the Centenary of Federation celebration in London in 2000 and ceremonial duties at Gallipoli on ANZAC day. Registration is free but please note entrance to the performance is with a gold coin donation at the door with all proceeds going to a chosen charity. The performance starts at midday (12pm).
The Canberra Theatre is Canberra’s premier performing arts venue, providing world class performing arts and entertainment to the people of Canberra and surrounding regions. The venue includes the main Theatre which seats 1,239 people, The Playhouse which seats 614 and the Courtyard Studio which is an intimate performance space seating up to 92 patrons. It is centrally located in the heart of Civic Square enabling you to explore the rest of the heart of the city at your own pace and within a convenient distance.
