National Art School

National Art School is a medium-sized campus located in Darlinghurst. Generally speaking, it is not a very accessible venue. While main entrances are wide and with a flat, even floor; access to 90% of the buildings would require walking up a small step or several steps. In the case of buildings that are on a ground level and easily accessed (with a ramp), again most of them will have a second floor that is only accessible by stairs.

The only building that is 100% accessible is the NAS Gallery, a temporary exhibition of student-made art. Doors are usually left open and entrances have ramps, with floors being fully flat and an elevator being available to access the second level. The only visible drawback would be the access to the lift, which is through a bit of a narrow path.

While there is no nearby accessible street parking, there is in-campus free parking with a single spot for wheelchair users. Car entrance is accessed through Burton St.

Mobility around campus is generally accessible, with the only drawback of occasionally uneven floors. Even though, access to buildings is not viable for wheelchair users, doors remain open during school hours, and visitors can peak through the doors and see projects/arts.

The only accessible bathroom can be found in the library. Visitors planning to enter the Chapel or Building 25 Project Space should contact the school before their visit so that suitable access arrangements can be made.
