Marrickville Library and Pavilion is wheel chair accomodating as the main entrance have large automatic sliding glass doors and through out the building was designed with ease of accessibility in mind. From permanent ramps around the pavilion to elevators for multi level access. Many of the accessible toilets are located on multiple floors. Goodwood Bakeshop has one main entrance with a ramp. Inside has decent room for manoeuvrability but no tables, outside has limited chairs.  Both accessble parking & toilets can be found at Calvert Street Car Park, 285-295 Illawarra Road

Goodwood Bakeshop Marrickville

A small corner predominately grassy recreational area housing a small playground and the Marrickville Youth Resource Centre. There is a concrete path linking Malakoff St to Yabsley Ave and the basketball court behind the Youth Resource Centre. The Marrickville Youth Resource Centre itself has two separate ramp accessible entrances and a driveway down to the street level by its entrance.  Accessible toilets can be found at Jarvie Park in the Marrickville Youth Resource Centre on Northcote Street.  Parking at 66 Garners Avenue & Frampton Avenue

Jarvie Park

We Three Bar in Marrickville has an entry ramp at the front door.  The front bar is wheel chair accessible and the venue has a modern well maintained accessible bathroom.   The front bar has dining level seating available but it is a small bar so its a good idea to contact the venue and book for the front bar to ensure that you can get a table. Let them know that you need a booking for accessibility, the venue is happy to accommodate.  Unfortunately there is no lift in the venue and so the upstairs lounge is not an accessible space.

Accessible parking can be found in Calvert Street.

We Three

Okami is an accessible Japanese resturant located on Illawarra Road, Marrickville.

The venue offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass entry doors. Inside is pacious with freestanding tables. chairs, easy access to the counter & umbrella covered outdoor street seating..

Accessible toilets can be found under 300m away at Calvery Street Shopping Centre along with accessible parking. 

Okami Japanese Restaurant

The library offers front ramp access with an automatic door. A unisex accessible toilet is available, equipped with handrails and a spacious interior. However, the hallway leading to it is somewhat narrow.

A lift is available to access the upper level of the library.

While the library is relatively small, it features wide, open floor spaces with good wheelchair access between bookshelves. Some seating areas are only accessible via stairs, but there are centrally located desks and chairs.

St Peters/Sydenham Library

The main entrance to the pool centre is wheelchair accessible, with flat, even ground and wide automatic doors.  A clearly signposted ramp is located on the side of the building to provide access to the attached café. Signage above the ramp is visible and clear. However, the door to access reception and make bookings is manual, though it is lightweight and easy to open.

The attached café has a medium-width manual door but it is kept open.

There are two pool ramps: a wide ramp into the 50m pool and another into the program pool used for classes. These ramps are made of metal with tall railings for support but are not clearly signposted. There is no ramp access to the shallow kids’ pool.

The surrounding terrain is flat and even, with wide walkways around the pools. An accessible toilet is available and clearly signposted, though it also functions as a family change room with wide doors and no key required - it locks from the inside

The 50m pool is equipped with a hoist to assist with entry. Aqua chairs and a pool hoist are also available and can be booked in advance, though booking is not mandatory. Same-day bookings are accepted at: https://secure.activecarrot.com/public/facility/browse/1451/1932/. Note that accessibility bookings are generally not available online until after 6:30 am. According to staff, accessibility equipment is only required for pool entry—not exit—as lifeguards assist guests in leaving the pool.

Staff also noted that the gym includes wheelchair-accessible cardio and resistance equipment for programs.

An accessibility lift is available for reaching the second-level gym facilities.

There is no dedicated parking for the pool centre, nearby street parking which includes small ramps for curb access but will need to be on the street to exit car.

Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre

Both entrances to the Metro have ramp access with wide automatic sliding doors. While there is no formal signage, the entrances are clearly visible and easy to identify. 

Accessible unisex ambulant toilets are clearly signposted and located throughout the Metro, split across its two main sections. These toilets have button-operated locks for both entry and locking.

The walkway connecting the two sides of the Metro does not include stairs, making it navigable for mobility aids. However, the ground surface becomes more textured and slightly bumpy in this area. The food and dining zone features wide, outdoor tables with space for wheelchair users.

There are lifts throughout the centre, providing access between the rooftop parking levels and the main ground floor, as the travelators are marked unsuitable for wheelchair use. A moderate number of dedicated accessible parking bays are available near the central lift, alongside bays designated for prams. The central lift is prioritised for ambulant and wheelchair users.

Temporary motorised scooters and complimentary wheelchair hire are available. These can be booked either by calling the Metro directly or in person at the Centre Office Management or Security Office on weekends.

Marrickville Metro

Kürtősh at Marrickville Metro offer great  coffee and amazing baked goods. The Front entrance and entrance to outdoor seating area are massively wide and fully accessible. The counters are low so wheelchair users can be seen. The space itself is massive with plenty of room to maneuver around and there is plenty of space between tables to allow wheelchair users to pull up  to a table comfortably and still have plenty of room for people to pass by without bumping or kicking your chair. Staff are friendly. There are fully accessible bathrooms in the shopping centre the 2nd floor accessible bathroom (accessible by lift) even has a hoist, and shower in it. 

Kürtősh

Sideways is an accessible bustling, casual cafe & deli with straight-up decor serving classic breakfast, lunch & brunch dishes situated on Constitution Road, Dulwich Hill. 

The venue offer step free entry via paved level pathway  to glass entry door.  Inside is bright & spacious with floor to ceilong windows,freestanding tables, chairs access to the counter & covered outdoor seating.

Only regular street parking is available & accessible toilets over 1km away at Summer Hill & Ashfield Train Station.

Sideways Deli Cafe

The library offers step-free ramp access via the side entrance next to the attached café, which also features wide, accessible outdoor seating. The front entrance has a manual swinging door that is relatively light. Alternatively, entry from Livingstone Road provides an automatic door for easier access.

A lift is located near the café and connects to the first level. All three levels of the library are accessible via elevators or stairs, with clear signage throughout. Bookshelves are widely spaced, and all entryways between sections are wide and door-free, allowing ample space for wheelchair users. An ‘accessible path’ is also clearly signposted.

Accessible bathrooms are available and well-signposted, including a unisex stall equipped with handrails, a manual swinging door, a shower, and a shower stool.

On-site accessible parking is available via Livingstone Road.
