Spanish Tapas is a stunning Mediterranean-style restaurant located in the heart of Glebe, right next to the University and Victoria Park, with Broadway Shopping Centre just a few meters down the street. This Spanish tapas bar has been serving authentic Spanish cuisine since 1997, offering an immersive experience with homemade recipes and vibrant, flamboyant Spanish decor.

The venue is spacious, with a dining area that accommodates mobility devices, ensuring everyone can enjoy a genuine Spanish experience.

The main entrance is accessible via a ramp, allowing easy entry for all guests. After entering the venue, you’ll find easy seating options to the right, or you can venture further in to enjoy a Spanish football-themed decor
 

Restrooms are located at the end of the venue. The ladies’ restroom includes ambulant features and is accessible via ramped pathways. While the door to the accessible restroom may require manual assistance, it is manageable, just a heads-up: there are no handrails in the toilets. The men’s restroom is a bit further, up a small step.

For a true Spanish experience, visit on Mondays for half-priced tapas or on weekends, when they have live flamenco shows during dinner.

The Dispensary 1908 is an accessible coffee, breakfast & lunch house with step-free front & no door.  The venue has a lovely history originally designed as a private residence back in 1896, 33 Glebe Point Road functioned as the Sydney United Friendly Society Dispensary from January 1909.  Patients would bring in their own bottles and jars and purchase ointments, leeches, cod liver oil, lime water, camel hair brushes, poppy heads and chamomile flowers.

Darling Thai

Double Barrel Coffee + Food House in Newtown is a charming café offering a welcoming space for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

The café's main entrance and interior are step-free, providing excellent accessibility for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. There is a small outdoor seating area, while the spacious interior features movable tables and chairs, ensuring flexibility and comfort. However, the restroom is located outside the café and requires crossing a high step to access, with a compact space that may not be suitable for disabled guests. Nearby Forbes St offers plenty of parking spaces, though none are designated for disabled users.

Double Barrel Coffee + Food house Newtown

The cinema is fully accessible, with accessible seating available with no steps or other barriers from the entrance. These seats and spaces are reserved for customers who have a genuine need and are only released by cinema staff in person at the cinema or over the phone.
For hard of hearing or visually impaired the auditoriums are setup with the Fidelio headset & neck loop options.  These receivers are available at the box office when tickets are purchased.  The neck loop option works in conjunction with the hearing aid + the headset has adjustable volume to boost the dialogue levels.

Palace Central Cinemas

PapaRich is a Malaysian restaurant chain with this branch located in the University of Technology Sydney

The UTS centre offers paved level pathway approach to automatic glass entry doors. There is lift & escalator access to level 3 floor court with open plan entry, freestanding tables, chairs, high tables with stool seating & access to the counter. 

Accessible toilets can be found in UTS & parking just outside the entrance.

PappaRich UTS

Carriageworks is one of Australia’s most significant creative industry hubs, renowned for its dynamic cultural events, performances, and exhibitions.

The entrance to the venue is located on the left side of Wilson St, alongside the sidewalk, requiring a short walk downward to access. A ramp is positioned to the right of the stairs at the entrance, providing convenient access for individuals with disabilities. The main door itself has no steps, allowing free and easy entry.

Inside, the venue is entirely step-free, with all dining areas situated on the ground-floor hall for maximum convenience. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is also available within the venue. Additionally, multiple wheelchair-accessible parking spaces are located on the left side of the building, with additional spaces further to the right. Overall, the venue is highly accommodating and disability-friendly.

Deus Ex Machina Camperdown is a unique destination that combines a café, retail space with trendy apparel, and a custom motorcycle workshop, all under one roof.

The store has two entrances, both with gentle ramps for easy access by wheelchair users and those with mobility needs. It offers a cosy indoor dining experience with flexible, movable seating that can accommodate different guest needs, including those with disabilities. Accessible restrooms are available, they are quite spacious and easy to go through, they are located next to the other toilets. Located on a busy street with ample temporary parking (though no designated accessible spaces), the restaurant provides an accessible environment for all, with wide halls and spaces with low tables ready for you to enjoy a motorbike-style coffee or lunch.

With its industrial-chic design, vintage motorcycles on display, and a laid-back café serving delicious food and coffee, Deus Ex Machina Camperdown attracts enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.

Step free wheelchair accessible entrance, plenty of space inside to manoeuvre around, low counter making it easy to order and bee seen.

Indoor seating, tables are a bit close together, but there is room on the end of tables for a wheelchair.  There are also booths which again can also fit a wheelchair at the end of the table. Tables are a bit low if you are using an electric Wheelchair but can easily  accommodate height of manual wheelchair.

Ordering stations are design so you can wheel right up to and under them so you can reach the screen.

Very different to Gomez Y Gomez Tacos, might me an acquired taste for Australians, but definitely an experience.

Newtown Pork Roll is a go-to destination for a quick and flavorful meal, offering a simple indoor setup without outdoor seating options. Accessibility is a highlight, with a ramp at the entrance providing easy access for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. The interior, though compact, includes a small number of movable tables and chairs to accommodate guests. However, the absence of a restroom and the lack of nearby on-street parking may pose challenges for some visitors.

Camperdown Commons is surrounded by lush greenery and featuring expansive views of Pocket City Farm, this unique venue offers a charming blend of indoor comfort and outdoor vibrance, perfect for those seeking a relaxing dining experience close to nature. The venue also organises gardening activities with the Pocket City Farm association and invites people with disabilities to join the team and enjoy gardening.


The restaurant’s main entrance has a gentle ramp for easy access by wheelchair users and those with mobility needs. The spacious outdoor dining area features movable tables and chairs, providing flexible seating for all guests. Accessible restrooms are also available on the left hand side when you enter the venue, after the ramp leading to the reception area. For convenience, there are two disabled parking spaces about 50 meters left of the main entrance at Pidcock and Mallett Streets, with two more spots along Pidcock Street.

The main entrance features a small ramp, making it accessible for disabled or wheelchair users, while the side entrance has a single step that requires caution. Although the restaurant has no outdoor seating, the cozy indoor space is compact, with fixed high-bar tables that may not suit all guests. There is no accessible restroom available, and while Brown St nearby offers plenty of parking spaces, there are no designated disabled parking spots.

CLEM'S

The restaurant does not have any outdoor seating and the entrance features a very high step, making access difficult for wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges. Inside, the dining area includes only a limited number of tables and chairs, with no restroom facilities available. Additionally, the surrounding area lacks on-street parking spaces, which may be inconvenient for visitors arriving by car.

Susho Wow is an inaccessible venue not suited for people in wheelchairs due to ledge to enter.  There are high seats/table inside with a conveyor belt. There is okay room inside but cramped if there are a lot of people, seats are not fixed.   Accessible parking can be found closeby at 2 Lennox Street.  Accessible toilets can be found at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park & Newtown Train Station.  

Sushi Wow

The café does not have an outdoor dining area, and accessibility is limited due to two very high steps at the entrance, posing significant challenges for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties. Inside, the space is compact, featuring high bar-style seating that may not be suitable for all guests. Additionally, there is no restroom available, and the surrounding area lacks designated disabled parking spaces.

The Rising Sun Workshop caters for people with accessibility needs. They provide a ramp to the main foyer and has ample seatings inside. There is also a large accessibility bathroom located inside. Located off the main road, so parking is available.

This is a spacious and lovely french restaurant.  The owner was extremely friendly and chatty and proud how accessible he had made his restaurant, including an accessibility toilet. There are large doors at the entrance and sufficient space around the tables.

Step-free fully wheelchair accessible entrance, inside has ample space to move, there is also outdoor seating. Space between tables is a little tight but the staff are friendly and helpful and will move tables/chairs if needed.

I have only had coffee  and a bacon and egg roll here so far, which was delicious.

Blue Brew Cafe

Much more than just a city garden, the walled Chinese Garden respectfully recreates the philosophy and harmony of a traditional Chinese garden in its waterfalls, lakes, exotic plants, pavilions and hidden pathways. With koi carp swimming in the lakes, willows weeping in the breeze and a teahouse serving Chinese tea and dim sum. The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tourist attraction located at Darling Harbour. There is an entry fee into the gardens, but they are only partially accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp at the front of the venue providing step-free access. Pathways and pavilions in the lower garden are accessible for wheelchairs, however, steps and rocky pathways make the upper part of the garden difficult to access. The closest passenger drop-off point to the garden and accessible parking possibility is on Harbour Street. The Chinese Garden has a fully upgraded accessible toilet.

The Grumpy Barista is not named after its owner's attitudes (Mel + Carlo are awesome!).
The entrance has a high step. Indoor tables are close together.

This place has a pretty groovy and chilled atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. 

There's a level front entrance, with a standard doorway. Wide space between tables and bar, easy to get through to back area and to the toilets, as long as bar isn't 5 deep. 

There's a mixture of high tables and stools and low tables and sofas. The back area opens up into a fairly wide space. 

The toilet is semi-accessible - it has no rails and is not marked as accessible (it's the one marked for women). There's a small lip to get into toilet, so you need to pop a wheely if you're in a manual chair. A powered chair should have no problem (see the photo). If you need rails to transfer you will have to bring a friend or carer in to assist.

Tumbalong Park is very wheelchair friendly. The Terrain is flat and smooth and within the park you can either find ramps or lifts to access other areas. The park is completely accessible, there are no areas which a wheelchair user cannot access. The park has two big picnic and playground areas where everyone can take a break and enjoy the park.
There is accessible parking on Wheat Road in Darling Harbour, next to the aquarium. You will find 6 designated parking spots which are generally free of charge.
Wheelchair users will also find an accessible public toilet.

Tumbalong Park

The outdoor seating is spacious and conveniently located on the sidewalk, offering a relaxed setting for guests. However, the restaurant's only entrance has a high step, making access to the indoor space less friendly for wheelchair users or those with mobility challenges. Additionally, the canteen does not have a restroom, and while there are many temporary parking spaces available nearby, none are designated for disabled drivers.

They offer generous servings, decent indoor space limited outdoor seating and street parking is available.  Further accessible parking can be found  at 2 Lennox Street, toilets can be found at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park & Newtown Train Station.  

The Italian Bowl

The restaurant offers a small outdoor dining area on the sidewalk, providing a cozy option for guests. The entrance is fully accessible, ensuring a wheelchair-friendly and convenient experience for individuals with mobility challenges. Inside, the dining area is equipped with movable tables and chairs for flexibility and comfort. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is also available for added convenience. Located on a busy main street, the restaurant does not provide temporary roadside parking spaces.

Two Peck Crispy Chicken is an established Taiwanese brand known for its authentic Taiwanese crispy chicken. This branch is located on Dixon Street, Sydney

The restaurant specializes in Asian-fusion cuisine, with a focus on Taiwanese fried chicken offering step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass entry door & easy access to the counter. The restaurant is open for lunch & dinner, offers both indoor & outdoor seating, eat in & takeaway options.

Accessible parking can be found closeby at Market City along with accessible toilets.

Two Peck Crispy Chicken

The Children’s Playground at Darling Quarter has an array of fun activities that promote learning and imagination for all ages. Water games, climbing ropes, swings, slides, and a flying fox will keep the kids entertained for hours. 
Darling Harbour Children's Playground is accessible to wheelchair users. Some areas of the park cannot be accessed due to steps, but large parts are accessible. The terrain is smooth and flat. cafes, restaurants and picnic areas are available nearby. There is no specific playground equipment designed for children in wheelchairs.
Several accessible toilets are located at the park. 
Darling Quarter conveniently offers accessible parking from Harbour Street in Wilson Carpark.

Palm Grove

ICC Sydney is Asia Pacific's premier integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct, underlining Sydney's place as one of the world's most desirable meeting and event destinations and providing the ideal platform to collaborate and innovate.
The center is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There are plenty of accessible, step-free entrances from street level. Each floor of the building can be reached via lift.  Also every auditorium and room in the building is accessible by wheelchair. 
Wheelchair seating with adjacent companion seating is available in all theatre venues. Lowered counters at key retail and service points are installed.
Onsite there are designated accessible toilets available and accessible parking spots can be found onsite as well. There are 11 in total.

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney)

Stacks Taverna is an accessible bar and restaurant with ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. 
There is step-free access throughout, and most tables are accessible. Outdoor tables are also available in the venue. The space between tables is restricted but the staff will make it work.
There is also an accessible toilet. Available parking spots can be found on Harbour Street.

Stacks Taverna


Convention is an accessible light rail stop. There is step-free access onto both platforms, which have gentle gradient ramps leading up to them. There is a designated bay at the end of the platforms in which to wait if you need a portable boarding ramp. Signal the driver on approach and he will alight the train and assist with the ramp.
Accessible parking spots can be found at the Convention Center.
There are no accessible toilets near the stop.

Convention Centre Light Rail

Bangkook Bites is an accessible venue with large and semi-flat entrance with seats located indoor and outdoor. Enough space between tables and chairs.  Closest accessible toilets can be found Newtown Train Station & Newtown Library.  Accessible parking can be found at 2 Lennox Street & 94 Erskineville Road

Bangkok Bites

The theatre is fully wheelchair accessible. There is step-free access into and throughout the building, with wheelchair spaces in every theatre.  To access the theatre wheelchair users have to go through different doors where they can find ramps to the theatres. The wheelchair spaces can be found in the first row. In the Foyer accessible toilets are available.
Designated parking spots can be found in Wilson Carpark on Harbour Street. You can call them and book a designated parking spot.

Monkey Baa Theatre Company

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café is an accessible cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout. A wheelchair user can sit at tables inside and outside. If you inform the staff before your arrival they will make sure there is enough space between the tables.
An accessible toilet can be found on site.
Designated parking spots are available on Harbour street. From there you can take a lift to get to the venue.

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café Darling Harbour

Nok Nok e is an accessible Asian eatery located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance.  Wheelchair users can't sit inside as there are mainly benches, leaving only outside tables.  There is a shared accessible toilet.
Wilson Carpark is close and offers accessible parking spots.

Nok Nok Thai Eating House

Taste Baguette & Grill is an accessible takeaway cafe located at Darling Quarter. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access to the counter, but there are no inside tables. The venue’s outdoor seating is mostly inaccessible due to the use of benches and high tables but there are also some other tables to chose from. There is no accessible toilet on site.

Taste Baguette & Grill

Umi Sushi + Udon is accessible. There is ramp access from the front of the venue to the main entrance. There is step-free access throughout but it is very tight inside the venue so there is barely access for wheelchair users. However there is accessible outdoor seating.
