Waterloo Oval is a quiet park in the Waterloo area, featuring a large open green space with a sloped grassed embankment along one side, a spacious sports field, and seating areas positioned along the edge. Mature trees, including plane and eucalyptus trees, line the surrounding paths, and a skate ramp is tucked into the sloped section of the park. Multiple accessible toilets are available within the park.

Access & Mobility

Waterloo Oval is accessible from Elizabeth Street, with a footpath running alongside the park connecting through to the surrounding streets. A bus stop (Waterloo Park, Elizabeth St) is located nearby, close to the intersection of Elizabeth Street and McEvoy Street, served by the 343 route to City Circular Quay.

There are multiple toilet facilities on-site near Pitt Street, close to its intersection with McEvoy Street, including an All Gender accessible toilet and a separate Male Ambulant toilet, both housed in a brick amenities building with green doors. The doors are push-operated rather than automatic. Inside, the accessible toilets are fitted with grab rails and a baby change table (Kanga Kare), and were clean at the time of visiting, with no visible damage or odour, though the floor showed some minor water pooling near the toilet base in one of the cubicles.
