Trinity Avenue Playground
Address: 24 Trinity Avenue, Dawes Point, NSW 2000.
Trinity Avenue Playground is a small, enclosed playground suitable for toddlers and younger children. It is a great recreational space for local families, featuring swings, a slide, climbing equipment and seating benches. However, there is no specially designed play equipment for wheelchair users.
The playground has hard, flat rubberised surfacing, with step-free access into and throughout the play area. A paved pathway and kerb ramp provide access from the roadside. The entrance is relatively narrow, and surrounding trees provide natural shade.
Access from the surrounding street may be more difficult. The footpath is generally flat, but rubbish bins, poles and parked cars may reduce the available space for wheelchair users. There is a kerb ramp nearby, but the surface is not very smooth. There is also traffic on the road, so wheelchair users may need to take extra care when crossing.
Accessible Parking: There are no designated accessible parking spaces immediately outside the playground. However, accessible on-street parking is available near 9 George Street, Dawes Point, close to the Harbour View Hotel. Regular on-street parking is also available along Trinity Avenue and nearby streets, with parking restrictions applying.
For public transport, the Argyle St at Watson Rd bus stop is about 260 metres from the playground and is served by bus route 311. The Roslyn Packer Theatre bus stop is about 350 metres away and is served by bus routes 324 and 325.
Accessible Public Toilet: There are no toilets inside the playground. However, a wheelchair-accessible public toilet is available near 9 George Street, Dawes Point, close to the Harbour View Hotel.
Overall, Trinity Avenue Playground provides a generally flat, step-free environment that wheelchair users can enter and move around. However, the absence of wheelchair-accessible play equipment and on-site toilet facilities may present some limitations.
