Sydney Town Hall is a heritage civic and event venue located in the centre of Sydney CBD, close to Town Hall Station, light rail services and Queen Victoria Building (QVB). The venue combines historic architecture with multiple halls, meeting spaces and function areas used for concerts, exhibitions, conferences, weddings and public events.
The building contains multiple levels including Lower Ground, Ground, First and Second floors. The Lower Ground level includes the Lower Town Hall, corridors and large open event spaces commonly used for exhibitions, community events and functions. The Ground Floor contains the Centennial Hall (Main Hall), which is the major concert and performance space within the building. The Vestibule is also located on this level and is commonly used as a reception and pre-function area. The First Floor includes gallery access overlooking Centennial Hall, meeting and reception spaces, offices and toilets. The Council Chamber and Reception Room are also located on this level. The Second Floor mainly contains offices and ancillary spaces.
Accessible entry is available via the Druitt Street entrance opposite Queen Victoria Building (QVB). Access from this entrance is step-free through Lower Town Hall, where lifts provide access to upper public levels. Wheelchair access is available throughout the main public areas of the building. Directional signage is located around the venue.
Accessible unisex toilets are available on each publicly accessible floor of the building.
The venue also includes hearing support systems within Centennial Hall, including the Ground Floor and Gallery levels.
Sydney Town Hall is located approximately one minute from Town Hall Station. Bus stops on Park Street, Druitt Street and York Street are nearby, and the L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford light rail services stop close to the venue.
Nearby paid parking is available at QVB Parking, St Andrews Parking and other surrounding CBD parking facilities.
