Thomas H Halton Park at Croudace Bay offer an all-abilities, full fenced, lakeside playground with so many to do.
With a giant pirate ship as it's centrepiece featuring slides, climbing wall, frame, ladders, ramps, bridges, nets, rope tunnels, portholes there is plenty for the kids to entertain themselves.
To the west of the pirate ship is the toddler area..Covered by a sail shade this timber-themed area features swings, rocker, balancing logs, beams & a small fishing boat. Next to here is the musical area with steel drums & xylophone. Then onto larger timeber forts with climbing wall, nets , slide, rope tunnel, shaky log bridge & timber seating.
There is a water play area with three water pumps, swing sets, net climbing spinner & accessible roundabout on softfall flooring.
Thomas H Halton is classified as an all-abilities park. This means it’s designed to accommodate the physical and intellectual needs of children and parents. There are no steps just a wide path throughout the playground providing access. The pirate ship has a wide ramp to access yhe top deck & the water play is concrete & level along with the roundabout.
An accessible toilet can be found in the park to the left of the toilet block, just outside of the playground behind the pirate ship, along with baby change facilities. There are BBQs, sheltered picnic tables, water fountains, park benches dotted around.
Parking can be found at Bareki Road in Croudace Bay, there is also a car park located just north by the Croudace Bay boat ramp.
As well as the playground is a hit-ball wall and half basketball court 350 metres north of the playground & skate park is located 300 metres south. It’s designed as a street plaza style skate park with quarter pipe, flatbanks, hubbas, downrails and manual pad.
