The Strand Arcade, located at 412–414 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, is a beautifully preserved 1891 Victorian-era landmark featuring Australian designer boutiques, jewellery stores, artisan shops and cafés. Centrally located between George Street and Pitt Street Mall, it is easily accessible by train, light rail and bus. For visitors with mobility needs, the arcade has two street-level, wheelchair-accessible entrances from George Street and Pitt Street, as well as lifts located near the George Street and Pitt Street entrances providing access to all building levels. Flooring throughout is smooth and polished, with wide pathways allowing wheelchair movement.
Toilets are located on Level 3 & 4. Separate male and female toilets are available with a unisex on level 5. However, There is no wheelchair-accessible (disabled) toilet. Toilet doors are manual and narrow, and internal space is limited; it cannot allow a wheelchair to enter inside.
