Simpson Park is a small, triangular-shaped suburban green space located between Macpherson Street, Firth Street and Leichhardt Street. A narrow footpath running parallel to Macpherson Street provides access to the park; however, the surface transitions to grass and sand upon entry. Access points from both Firth Street and Leichhardt Street are also via grassed, sandy areas, so there are no paved pathways from any entrance into the park. The park is an open green space with limited shade and amenities. A picnic table with fixed benches is available for visitors to sit and enjoy the space. There are no public toilets located nearby, and no designated accessible parking spaces. Public transport access is convenient, with bus routes 360, 362 and 379 stopping directly outside the park at the intersection of Macpherson Street and Firth Street.
