Accessible Playground In SingletonRose Point Park All Abilities Playground
Rose Point Park in Singleton offers a regional playground, packed with play equipment for kids of all ages & abilities along with wide easy roll access pathways.
Located in parkland near the Hunter River, this large playground is fully-fenced & has lots of shade with mature trees within the playground. There is a mixture of softfall flooring & bark chips throughout the playground. The park is full of playground equipment catering to kids of all ages & abilities.
There is a great swing area consisting of four baby four regular swings & two group swings, best of all a Liberty Swing can be found at the park! There is a colourful play complex with gentle ramps, climbing nets small slides, X and O game, balancing bridge & in-ground trampolines., rockers, spinners & a chill out blue cocoon if it all gets a bit too much. There is also a wheelchair accessible carousel, flush with the ground for easy access & pushing.
An innovative feature is the NEOS 360 play area, part electronic game, part competitive sport, this game lets one or two players choose from a variety of different games combining video games with aerobic exercise, set outdoors.
The park offers both softfall & bark flooring with crocodiles lurking in the chips for balncing along with beams, rope bridge, wobbly bridge & climbing wall. The back of the park features the rocket ship with large slide, fireman's pole, rock walls, ropes & nets. The park also offers a flying fox with the usual seat but there is also an all-abilities seat that you can strap kids in.
There are benches & covered picnic shelter, BBQs, ample seating around the park & brightly coloured bubblers at different heights. There is a qyuieter area of the park if the kids get overwhelmed & a sensory garden to relax & enjoy.
There are accessible toilets onsite along with plenty of parking including designated accessible parking bays. If you do not bring food there is coffee & snacks available across the street at Singleton Plaza.
There’s more to do outside the playground as well. If kids get tired of the playground, there are sports fields adjacent to the park as well as a walking track near the river. If you have bikes, you can cycle along the shared path near Ryan Avenue.
