Accessible Beach In PerthRockingham Beach Foreshore

    The Rockingham Foreshore precinct overlooks Rockingham Beach, a safe and calm beach perfect for families. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as the shady and expansive lawn areas of Churchill Park and Bell Park for picnics and barbecues.

    There are three main areas, Railway Terrace, a pedestrian friendly shopping and eat street Beach Plaza, a new civic heart for Rockingham with a range of recreational, cultural and heritage attractions; and The Boardwalk, featuring timber terraces and some ‘young- at-heart’ attractions connecting to the beach. There is an accessible ‘Lookout’ and ‘Beach Bowl’ have been created, giving all visitors the chance to take greater advantage of the foreshore’s north-facing beach and expansive parklands which can be transformed into a space for concerts and events.

    There is seasonal beach matting available in front of the Beach Bowl in line with Railway Terrace, accessed by using the ramp. The Mobi-Chair & Sandcruiser beach wheelchairs are available 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday from The Cruising Yacht Club on Val Street, 9527 5468. There is also the Mobi-Chair available 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm, weekends and public holidays from Rockingham Vistor Centre on Kent Street, 9592 3464. ACROD car parking bays on Rocking Bay Rd & Val St. Lead up pathways to accessible public toilets, showers & drink fountains.
