On-street accessible parking

The parking area is located in 12D Hickson road, it is next to a construction site. There are currently two accessible parking spaces here. The parking sign has a clear wheelchair symbol and the word “ONLY”. The accessible parking spaces are located to the left of the sign. The spaces require angle parking.

The parking area is generally flat. However, there are quite a lot of fallen leaves, seeds and some small branches on the ground, so wheelchair users should take some care when moving through the area.

There is a reasonable amount of open space around the parking spaces, which makes it easier for wheelchair users to get in and out of a vehicle. However, there are passing vehicles nearby, so extra care is needed.

The parking spaces are close to the footpath. The pedestrian area is generally flat, but it is quite narrow. Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection is located across the road. There is no kerb ramp directly between the parking area and the nearby footpath, so wheelchair users need to be careful with the kerb when trying to cross to the other side.

Sydney Harbour is less than 100 metres further along from the parking area, where visitors can enjoy views of the harbour.

There are many trees around the parking area, which provide good shade. However, this also means that leaves and other natural debris can build up on the ground.
