Anglesea Main Beach lies next to the mouth of the Anglesea River and fronts the town of Anglesea, located just ten minutes west of Torquay on the Great Ocean Road. The beach is 400metres long & has has a wide sandy section at the shallow tidal river mouth. This beach is home to the Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club, which patrols the beach during the summer period. The surf club is fully accessible on all 3 levels. There is ambulant toilets on all three levels, as well as a lift in the building. The toughest part is that the two carparks are gravel, so can be a bit burdensome to travel across. There is also a beach wheelchair that can be borrowed at the user discretion but note that the access ramp to the beach is very steep, so can make the wheelchair impossible to use. The club also offers Starfish Nippers a modified nipper program for children and young adults with a disability, which is run in conjunction with our traditional program. Our Starfish Nipper Program caters for children and young adults ranging from 6 years and above with a disability.

Disabled car park which provides access via a boat ramp onto Main Beach. 
The boat ramp is quite steep but generally leads directly onto harder sand. 
May not be accessible at times of very high tide.
