HARS Aviation Museum is a mostly ground floor venue with generally flat access through the main public areas. The floors inside the hangars are smooth concrete, which helps with movement through the larger display spaces. Some areas of the museum are only accessible as part of a guided tour. The museum closes at 3:30pm.

The aircraft interiors are generally narrow and include raised thresholds, which may make access difficult for some wheelchair users and people using mobility aids.

Visitors who prefer not to use stairs can still view many aircraft from ground level within the hangars.

The main hangar areas appear suitable for manual wheelchair users, while larger motorised wheelchairs may find some spaces more difficult to navigate.

The museum also has 2 to 3 donated wheelchairs available for visitors to use free of charge, subject to availability.

Aviation Museum Australia - HARS

Planet fitness Oak flats is located next to Oak Flats railway station. You can only access it coming off New Lake entrance Road via the roundabout. The path to enter the gym is mostly flat with a slight incline coming off the car park.

There are three disability parking spaces; two located to the right of the gym in front of Warrigal where you will turn left to enter the gym, and one located to the left of the gym. You will see the parking lot when you first enter the car park as you turn left and head straight down to the gym. The car park is flat, and is divided up in three sections of available parking. ⅓ of the parking is Warrigal parking, ⅓ is little people’s childcare parking and the remaining ⅓ is unmarked parking, suitable for planet fitness customers. Throughout the busy times (6am, 3pm-6pm), it can be difficult to find parking. During 9am-1pm the gym is usually quieter.

There are automatic doors which are wide enough for anyone to enter, no matter what accessibility you have. There is a front desk where you scan in and will be greeted by staff. The desk is a little high, but if you find it difficult to talk to staff, if you follow the desk around there is a gap.

There is an accessible toilet to the right of the desk, towards the far side of the gym, in between the male and female toilets, next to the water station. The toilet/bathroom has turning space, flat ground, includes rails and the basin is low enough for people to use. The shower has a bench and a hand-held shower head. There is also an ambivalent toilet available in both the male and female toilets.

There are two memberships; black spa and classic weekly. The black spa membership is $10.95 a week, which allows you to use the black spa features, however the only accessibility options are the massage chairs, hydro bed and wellbeing pod, if you have help to help assist you into the facilities, if help is not available you can ask if one of the staff members are available to help. With the black spa membership you can also bring a guest for free. The classic membership is $7 a week, which allows you to only use the gym and do classes, but you are still able to bring someone with you if you need help. Planet fitness also allows assistant animals at the gym.

There are multiple classes available, however, the most accessible is upper body and strength classes. There is also a program design class available, this is where you work with a trainer and they design a workout program for you, in which the trainers will be able to modify exercises for all your needs.

The gym has a wide range of equipment and machines available. There is quite a bit of space available between machines, with wide space in between the isles. The gym is flat, with no stairs throughout. If you are able to transfer yourself or with help into the smith machine, then you can use most of the machine’s. There is a mixture of smith machines for upper and lower body. There are also free weights available, ropes, barbells. If you get stuck on what machines or exercises you can do, there are trainers and managers available to give you tips. There are no clear signs on what is accessible and what isn’t but if you have any questions, staff are able to help.

Staff can help members with getting equipment safely, and safe transfers if needed.

Upon entry to the left, there are two tables available, as well as two couches in the black spa room.

Lockers

There are small lockers available next to the female toilets, as well as bigger lockers in the male and female toilets. There are lockers available towards the bottom, and they have a handle that you turn to the right to lock. If you want to bring a lock to secure your items you can, as the lockers don't have a proper lock.

Lighting and noise

The gym is brightly lit and music can be loud; staff may be able to lower volume on request. Music is managed via CrowdDJ.

Planet Fitness

There is a small parking lot with two designated accessible spaces, though the surface of the car park and entrance area is rough and on a slight incline. The entry door is a little heavy and hard to push open but is often left open on good weather days. Inside, the waiting area is spacious, but most tables are high with stools, or seating is in cramped sections. Restrooms are available; the male restroom is narrow and not accessible, while the female restroom is accessible and equipped with handrails.

There is a large parking lot with designated accessible parking spaces close to the main entrance. The entrance features automatic doors. Inside, the entire area is tiled and flat, with a very spacious seating area. However, there are no accessible toilets available inside.

McDonald's Albion Park Rail

There is one accessible parking space and a bus stop at the top of the street. The entrance features automated wide doors, and some tables have enough space to accommodate a wheelchair. One pathway inside is narrow. The toilet is spacious and clean, located in an accessible spot with an easy push-to-open door.

The Patisserie Oak Flats, there is an accessible parking spot located about 50 metres up the street. The outdoor area is flat with a small amount of seating available, the indoor space is also a little limited in space, overall, there is only a little space for sitting. No toilet facilities are available nearby.

Oporto Albion Park Rail, there is one parking spot located directly outside next to the store entrance. The entrance has a light, pull-open door. Inside, most of the seating consists of high stools, with a few regular chairs available, though space is limited. Outside seating is spacious. One accessible toilet is available in the store.

Taco Bell, located off the Princes Highway in Albion Park Rail. There is one accessible parking space available, there is extra space on one side, the parking lot area is flat and smooth. The main doorway is automatic, and the internal pathways are spacious and easy to navigate. Seating is available both inside and outside, though the areas are relatively small. Two accessible toilets are available inside the store.

Located next to gas station and entrance has a small ramp to access pathway. The venue offers only indoor seating, which is spacious and easy to navigate. Bliss Ice Cream and Gelato, there is parking available in a lot about 100 metres away. The indoor bench seating area is a little cramped with limited manoeuvring space, while the outdoor area is spacious with plenty of seating nearby. A public toilet is located just across the walkway.

The entrance door is push to open and somewhat heavy. Inside, seating is limited, with not much space to manoeuvre except near the booths located at the front, back and right hand side coming into the restaurant. No toilet facilities are available in the restaurant.

Batch 10 Café is located in the middle of a parking lot, with one accessible space located about 25 metres behind the store entrance. The surrounding area consists of a rough parking surface on a slight downhill incline. The indoor area is small with limited space to manoeuvre around. No toilet facilities are available on-site.
