Nita McCrae Park offers excellent, highly accessible pathways and seating for visitors with mobility aids, wheelchairs, and prams. It is a flat, peaceful green space that serves as a seamless link between the historic areas of Millers Point and the modern precinct of Barangaroo.
Path Quality & Terrain
Surface: The pathways consist of a mix of smooth, wide concrete and well-maintained asphalt.
Gradient: The terrain throughout the main park area is flat and level, with seamless, lip-free transitions between different path segments and street boundaries.
Clearance: Footpaths both inside the park and running along the perimeter street are exceptionally wide, providing plenty of turning space and room to pass.
Seating & Rest Points
Bench Access: Slatted park benches are positioned directly on the edges of the paved concrete walkways. Visitors using mobility aids or wheelchairs can sit directly alongside companions on the hard-stand path without needing to navigate or park on the grass.
Shade: Several seating areas are well-shaded by mature trees, making it a comfortable spot to rest.
Highlights & Visuals: The park features a stunning, unobstructed view looking directly up at the Crown Sydney (One Barangaroo) skyscraper, making it a great, easily accessible photo spot
