City Recital Hall is a purpose-built live performance venue with world-class acoustics located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. City Recital Hall presents a curated program of contemporary music performances alongside  classical presenting partners to elevate Sydney’s live music experience.

It has two street-level entrances from Pitt Street and George Street (via Ash Street). The Pitt Street entrance has no steps and leads straight into the Box Office and Foyer. The George Street entrance involves steps but also has an accessible lift.  


The box office is open from 12:30pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday. For ticketing enquiries, please contact 02 8256 2222 or boxoffice@cityrecitalhall.com (this email is not monitored on weekends).  

City Recital Hall is committed to making events accessible to all audiences. The auditorium has designated wheelchair positions, hearing loops, and it welcomes patrons with Companion Cards or Assistance Animals. 
 

City Recital Hall is within five hundred metres from Wynyard and Martin Place train stations and Wynyard light rail station. There are also bus stops along Martin Place.


A drop-off and pick up point is located at the Pitt Street entrance. City Recital Hall is serviced by a taxi rank outside the venue on Pitt Street.


There are two public accessible parking spaces on Pitt Street near the corner of Angel Place. These spaces cannot be booked.

Wilson Parking operates a car park next to City Recital Hall at 123 Pitt St, Sydney. Parking spaces can be booked online ahead of time. Accessible parking spaces are located by the lifts, that you can use to access the Hall from one hour prior to the performance times.

Please be aware that City Recital Hall allows for standing or dancing during events in all sections. 
Please allow for this when choosing your seats or contact box office for further assistance with seat selection.


City Recital Hall has four levels open to the general public, all of which are accessible via lifts. Patrons with limited mobility please take note of the step count between levels.

Foyer to Level 1 - 29 steps.
Level 1 to Level 2 - 29 steps.
Level 2 to Level 3 - 28 steps.

Accessible toilets are available on all levels at the following locations:

Foyer - located next to the Men's Toilet.
Level 1 - located by Auditorium Door 2.
Level 2 - located by the lifts.
Level 3 - located by the lifts.

City Recital Hall

An easy to access café in the lobby on 347 Kent Street.  The doors to the lobby are automatic and slide open, with wide access.  There is no alternative access.  There are several tables that are spaced apart from each other, wide enough to fit a wheelchair at.  All the tables are low.  There is no toilet.  The staff are also very accommodating in general. Parking is limited as it is located in the CBD.

Kent Street Fare

There are six entrances to Wynyard station (useful to know because they span a steep hill). All of them are accessible: the main entrances on George Street (the concourse is reached by a wide gentle ramp) and the walkway to the Barangaroo precinct, the quieter York Street, Kent Street (closed on weekends), and Clarence Street entrances (concourse reached by lift), and the much smaller Harrington Street entrance (concourse reached by lift).

Siesta Sydney

Top Juice is a juice bar chain serving juices, salads, smoothies & meals using 100% natural, raw, preservative free ingredients.

The Westfield Sydney branch on Pitt Street is situated in the Central Plaza Food Court & offers step free entry via level path approach to large open plan entry. There is easy access to the food counter & fridges, with both takeaway & eat-in options with freestanding seating in the food court.

Accessible toilets & parking can be found in the Westfield shopping centre.

Westfield Sydney

The Starbucks in Wynyard is a popular spot for locals and commuters. Located on the corner of York and Margaret Streets in the Wynyard precinct, this Starbucks café is a favorite for workers and students looking to focus on their tasks with a nice origin blend coffee or hot drink.

The main entrance has a few steps, which may present a challenge for those with mobility restrictions. However, there is an accessible entrance through the building next door at 11 York Street, right next to the train station. You can notify the staff beforehand, or simply let them know upon arrival—they will guide you to the accessible entry. The staff will open the glass doors and ensure the space is comfortable for you.

Restrooms are available at Wynyard train station, just a couple of hundred meters from Starbucks’ accessible entrance.

Starbucks York Street

Step-free access into the Bristol Arms Hotel can only be gained via the bistro entrance on Slip Street, which is just off Sussex Street. Bristol Arms is made up of three distinct spaces. At top of the hotel sits the Bristol Rooftop with its spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The ground floor hosts the Public Bar and TAB, with big screens throughout to show all sport, and a beer garden. 
The bistro level is the only floor accessible by wheelchair, meaning the bar and terrace areas are inaccessible. There are toilets on the bistro level, but they are not designated accessible.
Designated parking spots can be found in a carpark on Shelley Street.

Bristol Arms Hotel

An open-air cafe by the water's edge a short distance from the Sydney Opera House. Fully wheelchair friendly (although some tables inaccessible). There is a public accessible toilet nearby, in between the Opera Bar and the Opera Kitchen.

Since 2020, Crown Sydney has been Sydney's tallest building and the 4th tallest building in Australia, rising to a height of 271 metres (889 feet)

Sydney Tower Eye

The Parlour at QT Sydney is an intimate, French-inspired bistro with a vintage-meets-modern vibe, featuring eclectic decor that mixes dark wood and velvet touches alongside thoughtful accessibility features.

As you approach the entrance on Market Street, you’ll notice the grand crystal doors with a nod to classic French theater style—hard to miss and full of charm! Entering is simple, especially with the friendly bellhop. Inside, a glamorous carpeted path leads you smoothly through the lifts and straight to the bistro.

 Located on the ground floor, Parlour has just the right amount of space to comfortably welcome guests, whether you’re stopping in for a quick, delicious lunch or a fancy drink and nibbles.

If you're in the mood for something a bit more sophisticated, just take the lift up to the hotel reception on level 1. From there, the staff will guide you through the spacious, opulent reception area to another lift that takes you up to level 2, where you’ll find the main restaurant.

Every space in the restaurant on level 2 is accessible, with flat surfaces and generous spacing between tables, the bar, and the kitchen area. They’ve really put thought into making the experience easy and comfortable for everyone.

Restrooms are on level 1 near the hotel reception. Just ask for directions, or follow the signs for accessible facilities; you’ll find a spacious restroom with handrails, located on the left as you exit the lifts.

Parlour

Bar Bellacinno is an accessible cafe located on Pitt Street. 
There is a ramp to the side of the cafe which permits access to the counter and indoor seating area and limited seating at the back. There are no tables outside the venue, which doesn’t have any accessible toilets.
There is even a small takeaway store next door to grab shopping on the way home.
Designated parking spots can be found around 50 meters away in the Wilson carpark.

Bar Bellacinno

Condor Japanese Restaurant in Sydney's Wynyard area offers a cozy dining experience with a diverse menu of traditional Japanese dishes, specializing in sushi, ramen, and bento boxes. 

While Condor is a popular spot, accessibility may be limited. The entrance is somewhat narrow, and there is a step that could pose challenges for visitors with mobility needs. Inside, the step at the entry makes the venue inaccessible. Although tables are closely arranged in the outdoors, people with reduced mobility can still manage to be served a nice asian style popular dish from locals who keep their traditions in food. 

The venue does not provide toilets on site. Nevertheless, they can give you access to the toilets at the back of the premises. The attentive staff are generally willing to assist and accommodate wherever possible. You might be able to reach the toilets if you travel around the building, the paths are flat but the toilet isn't step-free. Despite the step being minimal, you need to be aware of its existence. To make it shorter, toilets are reachable for people presenting small mobility issues or having devices, however, they are far from the shop(on a wheelchair since people walking can trespass through the shop to the back), it is possible but not hassle-free ensured.the toilets do not have handrails and space is quite narrow but still doable.

 It’s recommended to call ahead to discuss specific needs for a comfortable dining experience.

Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf features 91 modern rooms, with easy access to Sydney buses, ferries and trains as well as the Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife World, Imax Theatre, Sydney Showboats, Australian National Maritime Museum and Circular Quay.
Located on Shelley Street, ibis Sydney King Street Wharf is accessible to wheelchair users inside and throughout the hotel. The lobby and bar areas are accessible, have a wheelchair friendly toilet and there are lifts to each floor.  The hotel has 4 designated accessible rooms which have an open-plan wet room with a roll-in shower. There is also an accessible parking spot very close to the hotel entrance.

Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf

Located on Sydney’s iconic waterfront at King Street Wharf, Casa Ristorante Italiano is an accessible restaurant with step-free access into and throughout the venue. Space between tables can be tight in places, but there is plenty of accessible seating inside and out. The venue also offers an accessible toilet.
Designated parking spots can be found in the carpark on Cuthbert Street.

Cargo Bar & Lounge is an accessible restaurant and bar offering step-free access from its promenade entry on King Street Wharf. The upper floor the venue is not accessible by wheelchair. Otherwise, there is plenty of accessible seating inside and outside.The staff will make room between the tables to ensure a smooth stay.  The venue has shared accessible toilets. Accessible parking spots are available on Sussex Street.

Cargo Bar & Lounge

The Sussex Hotel is an accessible pub in Barangaroo. Only the venue’s ground floor and garden area are accessible by wheelchair. Benches make some of the outdoor seating area inaccessible, but The Sussex Hotel does have accessible toilets.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Martin Place Station is accessible to wheelchair users. Step-free access is gained via a lift between Phillip Street and Macquarie Street - not all entrances are step-free. There are lifts down to the platform and a portable boarding ramp onto the train. There is also an accessible unisex toilet in the station.

Lal Qila Darling Harbour is an accessible Indian and Pakistani restaurant offering step-free access from its Lime Street entry.  Not all areas inside are accessible because of a big step. But there is plenty of accessible seating outside. The venue doesn’t have designated  toilets for wheelchair users. Accessible parking spots can be found on Shelley Street.

Vessel Italian & Bar is an accessible restaurant offering step-free access from its Shelley Street entry. All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, and there is plenty of accessible, generously spaced seating inside and outside. There are designated accessible toilets available.
Parking spots can be found on Lime Street and Shelley Street.

This Indian restaurantnt can only be accessed via a lift from the promenade level, which takes you to the first floor. Space between tables is restricted, but most are accessible. Outside tables are provided as well which are accessible. There are also designated accessible toilets on the restaurant level. Accessible parking spots can be found on Lime Street.

Manjits @ The Wharf - Indian Restaurant

The Malaya on Lime Street is an inaccessible South East Asian restaurant. There is a flight of steps at the only entrance to the building, preventing wheelchair access. There is no accessible outdoor seating.

Nick's Bar and Grill is an accessible restaurant and bar offering step-free access from its promenade entry on King Street Wharf.  All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, and there is plenty of accessible seating inside and out. There is also enough space between the tables but make sure to call them anyway before your visit to ensure a smooth stay. The restaurant offers an accessible toilet and also accessible parking for wheelchair users.

Nick's Bar And Grill

Located at the edge of Hyde Park and next to the entrance to St James train station, Metro St James is an inaccessible cafe and restaurant. Steps around the perimeter of the property prevent wheelchair access and there is no portable ramp on site to assist.

St James is accessible to wheelchair users. Step-free access is gained via a lift from the Elizabeth Street entrance at the edge of Hyde Park. There are lifts and gentle ramps to take wheelchair users to the platforms. A portable boarding ramp onto the train is available and there is also an accessible unisex toilet in the station.

Kobe Jones is an inaccessible due a flight of steps at the entrance to the building, preventing wheelchair access. However you can call the restaurant before your arrival and they will allow access through the kitchen. There is no accessible outdoor seating and no accessible toilets can be found on site.
Designated parking spots can be found on Lime Street.

Located next to International Tower Three in Barangaroo, David Jones Cafe is accessible. The counter is easily accessible via the open plan, step-free entrance. A limited amount of accessible seating is available outside. There are no accessible toilets on site but there are shared accessible toilets in the tower.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Adora Handmade Chocolates 

The Helm Bar is fully accessible for wheelchair users.  A lift situated between the adjoining shops on the ground floor provides step-free access to the first floor bar and dining area.  During the week almost all tables are accessible, whereas on the weekend the tables on the first floor are replaced with high tables and benches. Make sure to contact them to arrange a good table. There is plenty of space between the tables so there shouldn’t be a problem within the venue. Designated accessible unisex toilets are available inside the venue.
Accessible parking can only be found on Sussex street.

Helm Bar

Strike is a bar and bowling alley offering step-free access from its entry on the promenade at King Street Wharf. All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair except for the ‘escape' rooms. There is a lift to provide access to the bowling alley. The venue has seating outside, but  high benches make it inaccessible. However inside there is generous space.
There are accessible toilets onsite and the closest accessible parking spots are on Lime Street.

Strike Darling Harbour

Aquarium, Darling Harbour is an accessible ferry terminal. There is step-free access into and throughout the terminal, which is unmanned. There is a portable boarding ramp to enable wheelchair access onto the ferries.
There are no accessible toilets at the Pier and no designated parking spots.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium (formerly Sydney Aquarium) contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access throughout the venue, with ramps providing access to different levels of the aquarium. Accessible toilets are located at the entrance and exit of the attraction.
wheelchairs are available to hire for free from guest services on arrival on a first come, first served basis.
Due to the steepness of some ramps that lead down to the deeper oceanariums (Shark Valley and Dugong Island), wheelchair users may find they require extra assistance.
Parking spots are available on Wheat Street.

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium

Steersons Steakhouse on Lime Street is inaccessible. There is step-free access into the venue, but a flight of steps offer the only route up to the dining area, preventing wheelchair access. There is no accessible outdoor seating.

Darling Harbour, Pier 26 is an accessible ferry terminal. There is step-free access into and throughout the terminal, which is unmanned. There is a portable boarding ramp to enable wheelchair access onto the ferries.
There are no accessible toilets at the Pier and no designated parking spots.

There is step-free access into the small counter and indoor seating area. There are more accessible seats outside the venue than inside. The room between tables is very tight on the inside thats why an outside table would be the better choice.

Simplicity Cafe

Meat District Co is only accessible to wheelchair users from its entry on the promenade at King Street Wharf as there are steps at the Lime Street entrance. Consequently, the lower level is the only accessible floor.  The seating area inside is inaccesible. Wheelchair users can only sit outside on the lower level.
An accessible toilet is provided and designated parking spots can be found on Sussex Street.

Meat District Co

The venue is an accessible restaurant and bar offering step-free access from its promenade entry on King Street Wharf.  All areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, and there is plenty of accessible seating inside and outside.  There is also enough space between the table to move a wheelchair. If there is not enough space it is absolutely no problem for the staff to make room. The venue has accessible toilets and there is an accessible carpark on Lime Street.

Georges Mediterranean Bar & Grill

Good access, no toilet facilities You can sit at outside tables where there is more space available. Ramp access to the cafe from the street.

Barista Sisters Coffee

A very easy café to meet in. Lots of space inside, a variety of seating options, and an accessible toilet. The only downside is no outside seating.

Piccolo Me Bridge St

The Morrison Bar and Oyster Room is nestled in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and is an accessible restaurant and bar located on George Street. There is an extra entry for wheelchair users with wider doorframe and a small “ramp“ leading into the venue. The space inside is very restricted. There is only one table within the venue which is accessible. You definitely have to inform the venue before your arrival as they have to prepare and allocate the tables to ensure that there is enough room to maneuver. There is an accessible toilet on site. 
Designated parking spots can be found around 100 meters away in the Wilson carpark.

The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room

Devon is an accessible cafe located in International Tower Two in Barangaroo. There are no steps upon entry or around the venue, which has accessible seating inside and outside. Accessible toilets can be found within the Tower.
There are plenty of accessible carparks nearby.

Joe & The Juice is an accessible juice bar from Denmark, specialising in juices and sandwiches, shakes and freshly ground coffee, served in a funky and vibrant atmosphere. There are no steps leading onto the venue and an open plan seating area provides plenty of accessible seating options. However, there are no toilets at Joe & The Juice.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Madame Tussauds Sydney is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access into and throughout the attraction, but the venue warn that large motorised wheelchairs may not be able to access all exhibits. Madama Tussaud´s offers a small number of wheelchairs for free hire on a first come, first served basis. Accessible toilets can be found onsite.
There is no carpark onsite but there are several ones nearby for example in Sussex Street or in Murray Street.

Bel and Brio is an accessible cafe and food store located in Barangaroo. Entry into the venue is step-free and there are accessible tables located in the venue’s dining area. There are no outside tables and no toilets in Bel and Brio. However there are shared accessible toilets nearby.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Bungalow 8 is accessible, offering step-free access from its King Street Wharf entry. Not all areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair, but there is accessible seating inside and out although the room between the tables is pretty tight. The venue’s accessible unisex toilets are locked and the manager will open them upon request. Parking spots can be found in the carpark on Shelley street.

Bungalow 8

Da Capo Courtyard Cafe is inaccessible due to a flight of steps at the entrance. However, there is an outside seating area which can be accessed by wheelchair.
The closest parking spots can be found in the carpark on Elizabeth Street.

 The lobby café located within Tower Two International Towers is mainly a takeaway but there is seating inside and outside. Accessible toilets can be found within the tower and parking spots are available in the Secure carpark on Shelley Street.

Toby's Estate

Located on the first floor of Barangaroo House, the restaurant is accessible for wheelchair users. A lift takes you up. There are also accessible toilets. The space inside is restricted and not all tables are completely accessible due to it permanent fixture. Outside tables are also available. Accessible parking spots can be found in the Secure carpark on Shelley street.

Bea Restaurant

Hunter & Barrel is an accessible restaurant located at Cockle Bay Wharf. There is a ramp outside the venue enabling step-free access into the restaurant, which is all on one-level. Tables are generously spaced and accessible. There are even outside tables which Arte accessible as well. Designated accessible toilets can be found on site as well. The closest carpark is Wilson on Sussex Street.

Hunter & Barrel

Situated within the lobby of Tower 3 International Towers Campos Coffee Barangaroo is an accessible coffee shop. An automatic door provides step-free access from the street, and there is some accessible seating both inside and outside. There is no accessible toilet on site but there is one in the tower.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Steps leading up to both entrances of Pontoon Bar in Darling Harbour makes the restaurant inaccessible to wheelchair users. There is no portable ramp on site to enable access.

The bar is in the same building as the Bea restaurant. It is accessible for wheelchair users by lift. there is an outside area as well and the bar owns accessible toilets.
The space inside is restricted and not all tables are accessible due to its permanent fixtures.
The closest parking spots can be found in the Secure carpark on Shelley Street.

Smoke Bar

Serving Italian-style gelato on Barangaroo Avenue, RiverReno is accessible by wheelchair. There are no steps upon entry or inside the venue, which has accessible seating inside and out. There are no accessible toilets located in RiverReno.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Rivareno Gelato Barangaroo

At the rear of the Grovesnor Place courtyard, Grand Duk is a venue that is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access into the side entrance of the restaurant, to the outdoor terrace and to the counter and indoor seating area. There are no toilets on site, but there are accessible public facilities in the courtyard. Designated parking spots can be found in the Wilson carpark on Harrington Street.

Kansas City Shuffle is an accessible cafe and restaurant located on Gloucester Street. There is a platform lift at the back of the restaurant which takes you up to the raised dining area. There is an accessible takeaway kiosk located next to the venue’s street entrance. Not all tables inside are accessible and the space is restricted but the tables can be allocated to ensure more room to maneuver. However there are a few outside tables available.
There are no accessible toilets.
Designated parking can be found in the Rocks carpark.

Kansas City Shuffle

The Rabbit Hole is an accessible cafe on Barangaroo Avenue. There are no steps into or inside the venue, which has accessible but cramped seating inside and outside. There are no accessible toilets on site. There are plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Located in the food court at The Canteen in Barangaroo, Pattison’s Pattisserie is an accessible outlet serving fresh cakes, snacks and drinks. Some of The Canteen’s seating is inaccessible by wheelchair due to high benches. There is an accessible toilet located by the food court’s International Tower exit.
Accessible parking spots can be found in the Wilson carpark around 300 meters away.

One of the Sydney branches can be found at Barangaroo offering step free entry, easy access to the food counter, fridges & seating in the dining area.

Accessible parking can be found on Kent Street, accessible bathrooms at no. 400 & Metcentre.

Old Town Hong Kong is an accessible restaurant. There is step-free access onto and around the ground floor venue, which also has an accessible toilet. Accessible seating is available both inside and out.
There are also plenty of accessible public carparks nearby.

Belles Hot Chicken is an accessible restaurant in Barangaroo. Step-free access into the venue is available via ramps along Barangaroo Avenue. Tight spacing between tables makes some hard to access. There is no accessible toilet in site but there is a public toilet nearby.

Ume Burger is an accessible fast food outlet which provides step-free access via ramps situated along the promenade. The venue’s outdoor seating is tight and mostly inaccessible. There are no toilets on site, but public facilities are available on Wulugul Walk.

Baia The Italian is an accessible restaurant located at Darling Harbour. There are steps at the entrance but you can find a ramp next door to access the venue.
