    John Knight Memorial Park is a large 12 hectare area located on the eastern foreshores of Lake Ginninderra, part of Lake Ginninderra

    The park features a large playground with Wheelchair accessible liberty swing, treehouse, flying fox, ground level puzzles, steering wheel that are accessible on foot or via a low level and wide set ramp. large rock climbing wall, towers with ladders and slides.

    There is an interactive water trail with three pond areas and a stream that runs from the top of the park down to the lake’s edge.

    There are benches, rock walls, local gumtrees providing shade along with shade cloths. accessible pathways throughout, barbeques and sheltered picnic tables, grassy areas to set up a picnic, fitness equipment, a disc golf course, basketball courts and a fixed orienteering course., bins, public toilets and water bubblers. Parking is easy and close-by; it’s free for three hours.

    There is a model boat jetty and a jetty for canoes and sail boats, but swimming is prohibited. The park is linked to the lakeshore promenade and walking/cycle trail.

    Belconnen Mall is a short waterside roll/ stroll away.
