    About this place

Hewlett Street Reserve is a family‑friendly green space located adjacent to Bronte Park. Access to the reserve is via a steep, narrow, paved pathway. The reserve features a grassy landscape with gentle to moderate undulation, which limits accessibility for wheelchair users. Trees are planted throughout the surrounding park area; however, most of the space is unshaded. A popular playground and a shared community garden are located within the reserve, contributing to its appeal for families and locals. Two picnic tables with fixed benches are available for visitors to relax and enjoy the space. At the bottom of the main pathway are stairs that connect to a trail leading toward Bronte Beach. An additional unpaved, narrow path that is partially obstructed by overgrown native vegetation, which limits ease of movement is located at the bottom end of the reserve. There are no public toilets located nearby and no designated accessible parking spaces. Public transport access is convenient, with bus routes 360 and 362 stopping directly outside the reserve on Hewlett Street.
