On the mid level, there is a whiskey bar with an open space, very cost and accessible by the lift. On the top level, you can easily move around hallways and decide where to sit, if inside or in the balcony. The entrance has a step, however the venue owns a portable ramp that can be deployed and used when you arrive. 

The accessible entrance is right next door! Let the staff know you are coming and they will guide you to the right hand side of the main entry allowing easy access for those with mobility needs. Inside, the layout is mostly open, with ample space between tables to navigate comfortably. While Nour doesn't have dedicated accessible toilets, the staff is known to be helpful and attentive, and they’re always ready to assist with any special requests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Tento is tucked away in a hidden spot at 3/8 Hill Street, Surry Hills. To access the venue, you’ll need to ascend a few steps, but the good news is that a lift chair is available for assistance. Please call the venue in advance to ensure they can accommodate your arrival, as the lift chair is the only way to access the restaurant. Once you’ve used the lift chair, the pathway to the venue is flat.

The café offers a spacious outdoor seating area in front of the main kiosk and counter, as well as an indoor dining space. The indoor area is easily accessible, with a wide and open threshold, allowing you to choose between the terrace and the indoors. The friendly staff are always ready to assist and ensure a comfortable experience at Tento.

Simon Says Juice in Darlinghurst is a renowned café celebrated for its fresh juices and healthy offerings.

They’ve recently given the place a fun makeover, making the ground level way more accessible and welcoming. The door is wider, so getting in with your mobility device is a breeze! Just a heads-up: the seating has booth tables, so your device might have to hang out at the end of the booth in the middle of the venue, which could make it tricky for others to get by. But we think it’ll work out just fine! They’ve added a couple of small tables in front of the counter facing the street, making it easy to have a quick stop while waiting for the bus or passing by.

One major inconvenience is the lack of restrooms, which means you’ll need to head to the nearest local pub, The Beacham (10 meters), which has accessible toilets. However, keep in mind that it may not open very early in the morning if you’re an early bird.

Their famous juices are a hit all around Sydney, and the new menu includes a variety of smoothies and bowls, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a sustainable twist.

UNSW Galleries

The cinema is fully accessible, with accessible seating available with no steps or other barriers from the entrance. These seats and spaces are reserved for customers who have a genuine need and are only released by cinema staff in person at the cinema or over the phone.
For hard of hearing or visually impaired the auditoriums are setup with the Fidelio headset & neck loop options.  These receivers are available at the box office when tickets are purchased.  The neck loop option works in conjunction with the hearing aid + the headset has adjustable volume to boost the dialogue levels.

Palace Verona

Palace Cinema is an accessible venue with  step-free entrance on side.  Entry doors are left open.  Access is signposted inside.

Central station is at the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It is the largest and busiest railway station in NSW and services almost all of the lines on the Sydney Trains network, and is the major terminus for NSW TrainLink services. It occupies a large city block separating Haymarket, Surry Hills, and the CBD, bounded by Railway Square and Pitt Street in the west, Eddy Avenue in the north, and Elizabeth Street in the east. It is spread over two levels. On the lower-level are the trains serving the Sydney network. The platforms are reached by a series of lifts.

On the upper level are the Country trains serving the wider NSW network, from the original Grand Concourse. The two levels are connected by a large lift. Very occasionally, if this is not operating, a member of station staff can escort you through a staff only route, between the two levels.

The taxi pickup and drop-off point is on the upper Grand Concourse level.

If replacement buses are running when there are line closures, these leave from Eddy Avenue, near the taxis.

There are accessible toilets on both levels. These are locked with an MLAK. If you don't have a key, ask an attendant or station staff.

Central Station

Darlinghurst Courthouse was constructed in 1835-1845 in response to overcrowding issues at King Street Courts.  It was the first purpose-built criminal court in the colony and has been used ever since as a courthouse. The District Court took up residence in the early 1900s, and a new wing to the courthouse was added. In the 1920s, the newly founded High Court moved in, and additional courts were built. Today, Darlinghurst Courts constitute seven courtrooms and hears Supreme Court and District Court matters.

Access to the Courthouse is limited for those with mobility issues  due to it being a historical budiling. Entry is via Oxford Street and a ramp will be deployed to provide access to the venue and an accessible bathroom with be available on-site during the Sydney Festival.

Additional accessible toilets can be found under 1kms away at Wallamulla Park, Australian Museum & Kippax Anzac Parade. 

Darlinghurst Courthouse

The venue is wheelchair accessible with lifts to the lower ground floor where we are located via the lobby of Paramount House Hotel. Access to the cinema is via small ramps. 
In the cinema, there are reserved accessible seating available towards the back of the room, only available to be booked through one of the staff members. 

Golden Age Cinema & Bar

The café offers a cozy outdoor seating area on the sidewalk, perfect for a casual visit, though space is limited. However, accessibility is a challenge, as the only entrance has a high step, and the interior includes multiple steps, making it difficult for disabled or wheelchair users to navigate. An American Staple comes to Australia. 
Step free wheelchair accessible entrance, plenty of space inside to manoeuvre around, low counter making it easy to order and bee seen.

Indoor seating, tables are a bit close together, but there is room on the end of tables for a wheelchair.  There are also booths which again can also fit a wheelchair at the end of the table. Tables are a bit low if you are using an electric Wheelchair but can easily  accommodate height of manual wheelchair.

Ordering stations are design so you can wheel right up to and under them so you can reach the screen.

Very different to Gomez Y Gomez Tacos, might me an acquired taste for Australians, but definitely an experience.

While the outdoor space provides a great alfresco option, the entrance has a very high step, making access challenging for wheelchair users or individuals with mobility difficulties. Situated on a busy street, the restaurant does not have designated disabled parking spaces, which may further limit accessibility. 

Fortuna Drink And Eat

Darlo Bar in Sydney is a laid-back, retro pub in Darlinghurst with a fun, relaxed vibe. It’s a local favorite with a quirky, vintage interior that gives off a cool, eclectic feel.

The bar mixes in some modern touches with its Victorian-style décor, and there’s plenty of space, plus a pool table right in the middle. It’s super accessible too—everything connects smoothly to the footpath, with a wide entrance and spacious walkways throughout. Inside feels open and welcoming, great for catching up with friends, and they’ve got a mix of low and high tables to suit your style.

If you’re up for more, Darlo Bar has a chairlift to help you get upstairs to the rooftop, or you can stay downstairs and chill out in one of the cosy, social areas.

Zhang Liang Malatang is a Chinese spicy hot pot franchise chain with the Haymarket store located in the Meriton Suites on George Street Sydney.

The restaurant offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass double entry doors. Inside there are open food counters with shelves at different heights & depths to choose from. Once ingredients are selected take to the chefs who will charge you based on the weight of your ingredients & then cook your dish in a soup base of your choice.

Freestanding tables & chairs can be found in the dining area along with covered outdoor seating.

The restaurant serves malatang which is a Sichuan version of Chinese hotpot, a dish where ingredients are selected from a diverse buffet that features vegetables, noodles, meats, seafood & sauces to form a soup. The malatang difference, however, comes from the mala sauce, a Sichuan chilli pepper sauce that can cause a slight numbing sensation. And if soup doesn’t float your culinary boat, you can opt for a stir fry option.

For hard of hearing or visually impaired the auditoriums are setup with the Fidelio headset & neck loop options.  These receivers are available at the box office when tickets are purchased.  The neck loop option works in conjunction with the hearing aid + the headset has adjustable volume to boost the dialogue levels.

Coffee Pitt

The Kashbah Hotel on William Street is a lively, fun pub with a great atmosphere and a solid selection of drinks, perfect for a casual night out.

However, being an older building and due to strata regulations, the pub isn’t able to make renovations to improve accessibility. There’s a step at the entrance, and since William Street is a bit hilly, there's a small (about 5 cm) step that helps balance the building, which can be tricky for mobility devices to get over.

Unfortunately, there’s no outside seating area either, so the pub isn’t really accessible for those with mobility needs. It's a great spot for those who can navigate the steps, but not the best choice if accessibility is a concern.

Strand Kasbah

The Imperial Hotel is a semi-accessible venue with one step at front, wheelchair accessible access around the side on Underwood St.  
Entry doors are swinging at front but automatic at side & access is signposted.  
A wheelchair fits around the tables & non-fixed seating.  There is outside seating & accessible toilet onsite. 
Accessible parking can be found nearby on the street along with further underground parking at The Gordon.

The UTS centre offers paved level pathway approach to automatic glass entry doors. There is lift & escalator access to level 3 floor court with open plan entry, freestanding tables, chairs, high tables with stool seating & access to the counter. 

Accessible toilets can be found in UTS & parking just outside the entrance.

PappaRich UTS

Step-free fully wheelchair accessible entrance, inside has ample space to move, there is also outdoor seating. Space between tables is a little tight but the staff are friendly and helpful and will move tables/chairs if needed.

I have only had coffee  and a bacon and egg roll here so far, which was delicious. 

Great place to sit an watch the world 🌎 go by, catch up with friends and loved ones or grab a quick coffee to go.

Accessible toilets can be found around 1km away at Central Train Station on Eddy Street, accessible parking can be found at Holt Street.

Blue Brew Cafe

The Australian Museum is fully accessible to visitors using wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The main entrance features a ramp with no steps, ensuring easy access for disabled individuals and wheelchair users. Inside, two elevators connect all floors, allowing seamless navigation throughout the building. While most exhibition areas are step-free, the Westpac Long Gallery on the G floor includes some steps. The UG level houses a dining area that can also be accessed via a ramp or elevator. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on every floor, enhancing convenience for visitors. Although the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot, the nearest parking is located at 70 Riley St, Darlinghurst. 

Australian Museum

This is a spacious and lovely french restaurant.  The owner was extremely friendly and chatty and proud how accessible he had made his restaurant, including an accessibility toilet. There are large doors at the entrance and sufficient space around the tables.

La Grillade restaurant 

Porcine is an inaccessible venue with step-front entry to wide manual door.  Portable ramp unconfirmed.

The venue offers step free entry via paved level pathway approach to glass entry doors.  Inside there are shelves at different levels with the soups ingredients to choose from & access to the counter.  There are tables with stool & booth seating. 

Accessible parking can be found at Cinema Centre Carpark.  Accessible toilets can be found at Darling Harbour Tumbalong Park East & Pier Street.

No.1 Malatang city

The venue has step-free front but slightly narrow to a swinging door & a few steps inside. 
Table spacing is  likely too cramped plus steps close to front door, the seating is not fixed to floor.

Hyde Park is a great city park that covers two blocks in the heart of the city.  It is only one block up from the main shopping area of the Pitt Street Mall and is a good spot to take some lunch and escape all the hustle and bustle.  The park is accessible and has good paths throughout for a wheelchair. Hyde Park offers step-free access from entrances on College Street and Elizabeth Street. The park is mostly of a gentle gradient, with some areas on a slight slope. There is a step running round the perimeter of every area of grass, which may mean they are inaccessible. There is a public toilet situated in the south-west corner of the park at Museum station. Accessible parking spots can be found in the carpark on Elizabeth Street.

Hyde Park

Mr T is an accessible restaurant with step-free front but has a swinging narrow door & no portable ramp.
Wheelchair could fit round the low tables, benches & low stool, but might be cramped.
Seating is not fixed except for the bench along one wall.  
There is outside seating at night but needs to be validated.
No accessible toilet onsite but ones can be found on the ground & lower ground floors of Broadway Shopping Centre, along with parking.


Mr T Restaurant

Sun Hot Bakery Café is a local spot located within the Kings Cross Centre. The shopping mall is easily accessible, with entrances on both sides and a ramp linking Darlinghurst Road to Bayswater Avenue. There’s a small table near the counter if you’d like to sit and enjoy your meal. While the space around it can accommodate a wheelchair for a short time, the area can get a bit busy with foot traffic, though it’s still manageable.

For added convenience, public restrooms are located directly across from the café within the complex. If you need assistance or directions, the friendly and experienced owner is always happy to help and share local tips.

Sun Hot Bakery

Healthy Nuts, on the ground floor of the Kings Cross complex under the famous Coca-Cola sign, is a spacious and welcoming shop that’s perfect for grabbing a healthy snack or drink. The shop is easy to access from the street, with a flat, wide entrance that makes it simple for wheelchairs or mobility aids to get inside. Once you’re in, there are cozy couches that add a relaxed vibe, and they can be moved around if needed to make more space.

The counter where you order isn’t too high, so it’s easy to see everything they offer and place your order. If you need a hand, the staff are super friendly and happy to help. While the shop has two floors, the lower level can only be reached by stairs, so it might not work for everyone.
