Fern Bay Reserve Playground is located just north of Stockton outside the Fern Bay Community Hall, adjacent to the Fern Bay School car park.

This fully fenced playground has play equipment to suit all ages. For toddlers & smaller kids, there is a baby swing, a spiderweb swing, roundabout, rope bridge plus plenty of wobbly areas to practice balancing. For older kids a regular-sized swing, climbing wall & net, suspended tires, monkey bars, crazy spinners, log steps, timber bridge & woodchip flooring.

There is a cement path inside the fence around the playground for easy rolling & large sandstone blocks to sit on along with the steps of the community hall. The playground also features a water fountain & shade sails. Right behind the playground is a fully-fenced, half-size basketball court which incorporates soccer goals & a tennis/handball wall.

Right next to the playground is a large well-shaded grassed area, an undercover coin-operated BBQ, & covered picnic tables. Public toilets are onsite with disabled ramp & disabled toilet. Parking can be found in the school car park.

The Fern Bay Community Centre also has two tennis courts and a large multi-purpose hall space, both are managed by community volunteers & available for hire through Port Stephens Council.
