Public transports
The nearest recorded public-transport point is Redfern Station, approximately 800 m from the main entrance. The surveyed route was described as continuous, level, step-free and wide enough for wheelchair travel, with no surface obstacles. A road crossing is required; safe signals and sufficient crossing time were recorded.

Drop-off point
A safe drop-off point was recorded at 41 Rowley Lane, approximately 50 m from the entrance. The onward route was described as step-free, with enough space for wheelchair transfer or lift equipment. There is no shelter.

Accessible parking
The Carriageworks checklist records no dedicated accessible parking at the venue. Street parking at 41 Rowley Lane was identified as the nearest option

Entrance
The main entrance is step-free, easy to locate and signposted. It has an automatic door with adequate clear width, no high or uneven threshold and sufficient wheelchair turning space on both sides. Staff assistance is not required. The checklist also records that any alternative entrance follows the same opening hours as the main entrance.

Internal path
The route from the entrance to the main service areas is continuous, step-free and wide enough for wheelchair travel. Floors were recorded as level, slip-resistant and well maintained, with no thick carpet, gravel, grass, tracks, drains, steep slopes or furniture obstructing the route. Circulation remained usable during busy periods and wayfinding signs were clear. Counter height may not suit every wheelchair user. Some exhibition areas are accessible only by stairs.

Seating and facilities
Standard-height tables with removable chairs were recorded, with wheelchair knee clearance and adequate spacing between tables and along aisles. Seating is not limited to high stools or fixed booths. No accessible outdoor seating or dedicated wheelchair viewing space was recorded. The shop, cafe, ticketing area and other main facilities were recorded as accessible.

3. Accessible toilet
An accessible toilet is located inside the venue beside the ticket office. The route is step-free, easy to find and signposted. It is an independent unisex toilet with an automatic door, adequate doorway width, wheelchair manoeuvring and transfer space, and reachable basin, soap and hand-drying facilities. The door is opened and locked using buttons positioned at wheelchair height. An adult changing table is provided, but no emergency call device was recorded. The toilet was clean, maintained, unobstructed and available during venue opening hours.
