Bronte Gully

Bronte Gully is a 3.5‑hectare shaded, densely vegetated natural reserve located behind Bronte Beach. This tranquil urban oasis offers informal walking trails through a lush bushland setting, providing visitors with a quiet escape from the surrounding urban environment. Despite its natural appeal, the gully is largely inaccessible for people with mobility needs. Access from Bronte Road is via a narrow paved footpath that leads to a set of steep stairs, followed by a narrow paved pathway at the park entry. This pathway transitions into an informal, unpaved trail that continues into the gully. Throughout the reserve, steep slopes, uneven surfaces, and overgrown native vegetation obstruct the informal pathways, making them unsuitable for wheelchair users or people using mobility aids. Exiting the gully leads to a flat, wide, unpaved park area located behind Bronte Beach; however, this space remains disconnected from accessible pathways. There are no public toilet facilities within or near the gully, no public transport stops nearby and no designated accessible parking spaces
