Just a heads-up: the seating has booth tables, so your device might have to hang out at the end of the booth in the middle of the venue, which could make it tricky for others to get by. But we think it’ll work out just fine! They’ve added a couple of small tables in front of the counter facing the street, making it easy to have a quick stop while waiting for the bus or passing by.

One major inconvenience is the lack of restrooms, which means you’ll need to head to the nearest local pub, The Beacham (10 meters), which has accessible toilets. However, keep in mind that it may not open very early in the morning if you’re an early bird.

The sandwich shop offers a few small picnic tables for those who can’t wait and want to sit and enjoy their food on the spot. Keep in mind that the venue is quite popular, which may lead to some waiting and socializing in the corners. However, we bet people will make it easy for you to pass through.

One thing to note is that the entrance has a step, which makes it a bit tricky for those using mobility devices to get in. But don’t let that stop you! The area has good parking and accessible roads, but no accessible parking in particular. It’s still easy to get to the shop thanks to the curb ramp in front of the venue in the corner of the street. The neck loop option works in conjunction with the hearing aid + the headset has adjustable volume to boost the dialogue levels.

Tento is tucked away in a hidden spot at 3/8 Hill Street, Surry Hills. To access the venue, you’ll need to ascend a few steps, but the good news is that a lift chair is available for assistance. Please call the venue in advance to ensure they can accommodate your arrival, as the lift chair is the only way to access the restaurant. Once you’ve used the lift chair, the pathway to the venue is flat.

The café offers a spacious outdoor seating area in front of the main kiosk and counter, as well as an indoor dining space. The indoor area is easily accessible, with a wide and open threshold, allowing you to choose between the terrace and the indoors. The friendly staff are always ready to assist and ensure a comfortable experience at Tento.

In 1835, Governor Bourke, in response to the overcrowding and chaotic state of King Street Courts, directed the design of a courthouse outside Sydney Town, on the hill opposite the new goal. This was for convenient prisoner access and to separate criminal from civil matters.

Designed by colonial architect Mortimer Lewis, the Greek-revivalist building was completed in 1845. It was the first purpose-built criminal court in the colony and has been used ever since as a courthouse. The District Court took up residence in the early 1900s, and a new wing to the courthouse was added. In the 1920s, the newly founded High Court moved in, and additional courts were built. Today, Darlinghurst Courts constitute seven courtrooms and hears Supreme Court and District Court matters.

With plenty of space to move around, getting in and out is a breeze, thanks to the chair lift at the entrance and an internal lift that reaches every level. The Clock is fully accessible, making it easy to enjoy your time here without any worries. The friendly staff, quick ordering, and helpful security team ensure that everyone feels at ease.

Inside, the spacious layout keeps things comfortable, and for those who need accessible facilities, there’s a dedicated toilet on the courtyard level that’s easy to reach on the lower floor right next to the lifts.  The ground level is where most events are run and where you can easily stroll around and be part of the interactive games and shows. On the mid level, there is a whiskey bar with an open space, very cost and accessible by the lift. On the top level, you can easily move around hallways and decide where to sit, if inside or in the balcony. Bear in mind that the balcony presents a small step and that is quite narrow for a wheelchair.

The accessible entrance is right next door! Let the staff know you are coming and they will guide you to the right hand side of the main entry allowing easy access for those with mobility needs. While Nour doesn't have dedicated accessible toilets, the staff is known to be helpful and attentive, and they’re always ready to assist with any special requests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Yes, you can find accessible parking about 200 meters away, in front of the park on the same footpath as the Surry Hills Library. There is enough space for one car, or possibly two small ones. The street is well connected to ramps, making Henrietta a fully accessible venue.

However, since it is a small space, navigating inside may be more challenging during busy hours. You can easily place your order inside and enjoy your coffee or meal in either the indoor or outdoor seating areas, depending on the weather.

Unfortunately, the toilets in the venue are not accessible. The door threshold is quite narrow, and reaching the communal bathroom requires going up some steps.  Closest accessible toilets can be found at Central Train Station.

The Kashbah Hotel on William Street is a lively, fun pub with a great atmosphere and a solid selection of drinks, perfect for a casual night out.

However, being an older building and due to strata regulations, the pub isn’t able to make renovations to improve accessibility. There’s a step at the entrance, and since William Street is a bit hilly, there's a small (about 5 cm) step that helps balance the building, which can be tricky for mobility devices to get over.

Unfortunately, there’s no outside seating area either, so the pub isn’t really accessible for those with mobility needs. It's a great spot for those who can navigate the steps, but not the best choice if accessibility is a concern.

Strand Kasbah

Sun Hot Bakery Café is a local spot located within the Kings Cross Centre. The shopping mall is easily accessible, with entrances on both sides and a ramp linking Darlinghurst Road to Bayswater Avenue. The café is situated on the fully accessible ground floor and features a low counter, making it simple to order their affordable and delicious Vietnamese dishes or grab a quick coffee while waiting for someone finishing their shopping.
 

There’s a small table near the counter if you’d like to sit and enjoy your meal. While the space around it can accommodate a wheelchair for a short time, the area can get a bit busy with foot traffic, though it’s still manageable.

For added convenience, public restrooms are located directly across from the café within the complex. If you need assistance or directions, the friendly and experienced owner is always happy to help and share local tips.

Healthy Nuts, on the ground floor of the Kings Cross complex under the famous Coca-Cola sign, is a spacious and welcoming shop that’s perfect for grabbing a healthy snack or drink. The shop is easy to access from the street, with a flat, wide entrance that makes it simple for wheelchairs or mobility aids to get inside. Once you’re in, there are cozy couches that add a relaxed vibe, and they can be moved around if needed to make more space.

The counter where you order isn’t too high, so it’s easy to see everything they offer and place your order. If you need a hand, the staff are super friendly and happy to help. While the shop has two floors, the lower level can only be reached by stairs, so it might not work for everyone.

There aren’t any toilets inside the shop, but don’t worry—the Kings Cross complex has public restrooms that are wheelchair-friendly. Just head into the complex, follow the ramps to the end, and you’ll find the restrooms on the left side.

It’s a chill spot to enjoy some healthy treats, with staff who go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable!

Penny’s Hotel in Kings Cross is a super welcoming spot, made easy and comfortable for everyone.
 

It is located on a wide footpath, so there’s plenty of room outside, and while there are stairs at the main entrance, there’s a lift right on the left side of the building for anyone who needs it. 

The lift takes you straight upstairs, where everything is clearly marked for a smooth experience.

Inside, there’s loads of space, and the bar is not so far from the lift entrance. With wide paths between tables and easy access to accessible bathrooms, with handrails at the back of the first floor, you can order right from your table, and the friendly staff are always around to help, making sure you have a relaxed, enjoyable time at Penny’s!

The pathways between tables are fairly spacious, but they might need a little rearranging to make things more comfortable for larger mobility devices. While the main areas are mostly accessible, the restrooms can be tricky—they’re on another level with two steps to navigate, and the hallway leading there is pretty narrow.

If you’re thinking of visiting and have specific needs, it’s a good idea to give them a call ahead of time. You’ll enjoy great food and street views, and the staff will do their best to help make your visit enjoyable!

Chula

Mr T is an accessible restaurant with step-free front but has a swinging narrow door & no portable ramp.
Wheelchair could fit round the low tables, benches & low stool, but might be cramped.
Seating is not fixed except for the bench along one wall.  
There is outside seating at night but needs to be validated.
No accessible toilet onsite but ones can be found on the ground & lower ground floors of Broadway Shopping Centre, along with parking.


Mr T Restaurant

Sonora in Potts Point offers a welcoming and lively Mexican dining experience, where friendly service complements an innovative menu. Sonora features curated tasting menus, including a chef’s “Feed Me” option on Wednesdays and a decadent brunch with tacos and margaritas on the weekends.

Sonora is fully accessible, accommodating both wide and smaller devices. The main entry is at the corner of the street, accessible through their ample door threshold. Despite being a small, charming venue, the tables are spaced apart, providing enough room both inside and outside, in the terrace. The friendly staff will be happy to guide you to an appropriate space in the dining area.

Toilets are located on the right-hand side of the venue, and you won't get lost on the way to the restrooms. There are two restrooms, both equipped with handrails and enough space to maneuver a device.

Sonora Potts Point

Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or trying it for the first time, Bones Ramen offers a delightful dining experience in the heart of Kings Cross.

The restaurant is located on the hill of Bayswater Road and is mostly accessible from the footpath. The entry features a flat surface that transitions into a slight step on one side of the door threshold, which is manageable to navigate with a bit of assistance if needed. Otherwise you can always have some food in their outdoors area. The outdoors tables are quite small and the available spots are on the hill. However, if you can manage a slight steep hill, you can always enjoy their food.

While the dimensions of the entry are not large, they are sufficient for entry. Once inside, the space is somewhat limited, but there is often the possibility of finding a table for you and your guests upon entry.
 

Please note that they do not have accessible toilets, but you can attempt to enter them since the path from the main dining area is relatively easy.

There is 1 parallel parking space in 31 Roslyn Street, Eastside between Ward Avenue and Roslyn Gardens 3.2m wide by 7.3m long.

There is a private garage at 33 Bayswater Road with an accessible entrance.

Bones Ramen

The Glider is right on Victoria Street in Potts Point, just a hop away from Kings Cross Station, making it super easy to get to with the adapted roads. The café has a lovely outdoor area that's perfect for chilling out. You’ll find a few tables right on the main street, so you can sit there without worrying about blocking anyone’s path. The outdoor space has a faux garden floor and a driveway kerb ramp that makes it easy to access the cosy little terrace.

Inside, there’s a noticeable step up to the main café area, so you might have trouble getting in with a mobility device. But don’t sweat it! You can always ask for table service on the terrace, and the friendly staff will be more than happy to help you out.

They don’t have toilets at the café, but no worries, Kings Cross Station is just a few meters away, and it has fully accessible restrooms that are easy to navigate.

Marta Osteria

Central station is at the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It is the largest and busiest railway station in NSW and services almost all of the lines on the Sydney Trains network, and is the major terminus for NSW TrainLink services. It occupies a large city block separating Haymarket, Surry Hills, and the CBD, bounded by Railway Square and Pitt Street in the west, Eddy Avenue in the north, and Elizabeth Street in the east. It is spread over two levels. On the lower-level are the trains serving the Sydney network. The platforms are reached by a series of lifts.

On the upper level are the Country trains serving the wider NSW network, from the original Grand Concourse. The two levels are connected by a large lift. Very occasionally, if this is not operating, a member of station staff can escort you through a staff only route, between the two levels.

The taxi pickup and drop-off point is on the upper Grand Concourse level.

If replacement buses are running when there are line closures, these leave from Eddy Avenue, near the taxis.

There are accessible toilets on both levels. These are locked with an MLAK. If you don't have a key, ask an attendant or station staff.

Central Station

10 William Street is an inaccessible bar with three steps to entry & no portable ramp to the manual,  swinging door.  	
Toilets are located upstairs but accessible ones can be found at Paddington Markets & accessible parking can be found on the street & The Gordon underground car park.

Although the museum does not have a dedicated parking lot, the nearest parking is located at 70 Riley St, Darlinghurst.

Potts Point Hotel  is a welcoming choice for an inclusive night out in Sydney’s vibrant Kings Cross area. The venue is fully accessible, with a lift connecting all levels for convenient movement throughout. The only inconvenient is that entry for mobility devices is at the back of the building. Let management know that you are coming so they can prepare and assist you on arrival.

The alfresco area is fully accessible from the front door if you are coming from Darlinghurst Road and it provides a pleasant experience, allowing guests to place orders directly from their table. If needed, management is also available to assist with ordering and table service.

Lil Darlin Surry Hills is a casual & lively cocktail bar & restaurant footsteps away from Central Station.

There is a step up to the entry door which will need to be navigated accessed via paved level pathway approach.   Inside features high tables with stools, access to the bar & lower tables with chairs.  If gaining access is too tricky with the step at the front there are street tables available.
