About this place
Alexandria Park is a spacious, accessible local park with multiple entrances from Buckland Street, Wyndham Street and Park Road. A network of flat concrete paths loops around the park's central oval, making it well suited for walking, relaxing and enjoying the landscaped gardens, flowers and mature trees, including a striking deciduous ginkgo tree towards Wyndham Street.
The park offers a range of recreational facilities, including a soccer field, basketball court, tennis court, playground and an off-leash dog area. A large accessible ramp provides easy access to the soccer field and basketball court, while an accessible unisex toilet is located beside the tennis courts. There are three mobility parking spaces available on Power Ave and Park Road, which also provides the easiest access to the park.
All paths inside the park are smooth and accessible, although some sections along Buckland and Wyndham Streets are mildly uneven, and small twigs and sticks may occasionally be present on the paths.
