Accessible Toilet

An accessible toilet is located at 14 Hickson Road, Dawes Point, around 200 metres from Dawes Point Reserve and close to Ives Steps.

There is a clear wheelchair-accessible symbol beside the entrance.
The entrance uses a “Touch to Open” button, so users do not need to manually push or pull the door. The entrance is almost level with the surrounding footpath, with no steps or raised threshold, making it easy for wheelchair users to enter.
The floor inside is generally flat. The toilet has a relatively spacious interior, with clear space in front of and beside the toilet for wheelchair movement and turning. The toilet is positioned close to the wall and has grab rails around it to assist with transfers and balance.
The handwashing facilities are built into the wall and include soap, water and a hand dryer in the same area, so users do not need to move between different facilities.
A fold-down baby change table is also provided inside. It is fixed to the wall and can be lowered when needed and folded away when not in use. Parking available approximately 130 metres away at 10 Hickson Road.
