Gap Park is located on a coastal escarpment on Sydney Harbour's South Head. It has spectacular views of both the harbour and the sea. There are a series of basic paths amidst windswept native coastal vegetation that traverse the cliff tops. The area is one of Sydney's most popular tourist destinations. Gap Park is a partially accessible park. There are steps in the park, but ramps provide step-free access. The park itself doesn’t provide accessible toilets however there are accessible toilets in the Robertson Park nearby. There are cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area. There is no picnic area within the park. The closest parking spots can be found on Military Road around Robertson Park and Old South Head Road.
