Relax on lovely Manly Beach, one of Australia’s most famous beaches where the first world surfing contest was held in 1964. You’ll find plenty of wonderful things to do and see, from picnics on the promenade to fun and informative tours. Manly Beach is accessible to wheelchair users. It is level, well paved and has paths that run along the top of the beach. Easiest access onto the beach is via a gentle ramp outside the front of Manly SLSC at the southern end of the beach. The SLSC also has a beach wheelchair available and accessible changing rooms and toilets. The beach itself is of a gentle gradient and the sand is mainly soft.

Manly Cove Beach West is a beach that is inaccessible to wheelchair users. There are no step-free access points onto the sand. There are steps leading onto the beach, but there is no ramp. No accessible toilets are located on the beach, with the nearest facilities in the ferry terminal.

Garfish Manly is an accessible seafood restaurant located on East Esplanade. There is step-free access via a ramp at the side entrance. The venue is on one-level and offers a range of accessible seating inside and outside. The toilets on site are not designated accessible.

Situated in the Manly Wharf Ferry Terminal, Gloria Jean’s is a takeaway coffee shop. The counter is accessible to wheelchair users, but as it is purely for takeaway, there are no toilets or seating available.  Closest accessible toilets can be found on Manly Wharf, East Esplanade
