Accessible Beach In Pittwater RoadCollaroy Beach
Collaroy Beach is a surf beach that adjoins Narrabeen Beach forming a long stretch of coast. The ocean rock pool at the southern end of the beach has ramp access into the pool. A beach wheelchair & submersible wheelchair for hire from the Lifeguards who are on duty from 9 am till 5 pm between October and April, and until 6 pm between December and February. You can find them at the north-east corner of the Collaroy Surf Club building. Call them on 9982 9261. Unisex accessible toilet / baby change room located at the surf club amenities. Additional MLAK unisex accessible toilet and change room with an adult size change table and a ceiling hoist available at the beach side of the surf club (near the Swim Club). There are 2 mobility parking spaces are located at the southern end of the car park. Extra mobility parking spaces are located near the playground, entry from Birdwood Avenue (one-way driveway). There is an inclusive playground located at the southern end of the reserve which includes Liberty Swing for wheelchair users (use an MLAK key), an accessible carousel, spinner, 6-seater rocker, dome climbing net structure, interconnected timber decks, slides, sensory elements - carved sandstone structures and musical elements & interactive water play. Your own MLAK key can open the Liberty Swing and the accessible toilet at any time, or you can borrow one from the lifeguard.
