A wide ramp at North Bondi makes access to the beach easy Mobi-mat beach mats are in use at Bondi Beach on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.30am to 2pm, surf and weather conditions permitting. They are located at the northern end ramp of Bondi Beach, near Wally Weekes pool. Please note that the matting does NOT reach the ocean’s edge.  

Beach wheelchairs are available for hire: you can choose between the Sandcruiser (adults) or Sandpiper (children). Please use the beach wheelchairs to access and swim between the flags. Two accessible parking spots are located right near the ramp down to the beach at North Bondi. There is also plenty of parking available in the open air car park behind the beach. Macelleria on Campbell Parade is an accessible butcher and restaurant. Macelleria literally means “Butcher Shop” and they offer a unique meat eating experience.
There is step-free access upon entry and throughout the venue, which doesn’t have an accessible toilet. Seating is generously spaced inside the restaurant and most is accessible for wheelchair users.

Lamrock Cafe is an inaccessible eatery located just across the road from Bondi Beach. A portable ramp is needed to gain access to the counter and dining area, but the Lamrock does not have this facility. However there is some outside seating available.

Two large steps at the main entrance of Gelbison Pizzeria Ristorante make the Bondi eatery inaccessible via wheelchair. There is a limited amount of outdoor seating, but there is no portable ramp to allow access to the main dining area.

Located a stone’s throw away from Bondi Beach, Birichina Cafe is an inaccessible coffee shop. The counter and indoor seating sit on a raised platform from the street, which is inaccessible for wheelchair users. There is some accessible seating outside the cafe.

A step upon entry to Boost Juice in Bondi prohibits wheelchair users from being able to access the counter. This inaccessible takeaway outlet does not have its own seating area.

Sushi Train Bondi Beach is a partially accessible restaurant located at the northern end of Campbell Parade. The conveyor belt is inaccessible for wheelchair users, but there are accessible tables outside of the venue. The restaurant doesn’t have an accessible unisex toilet on site.

Moo Gourmet Burgers in Bondi is an inaccessible restaurant. A large step and tight doorway make access impossible via wheelchair. There is also no portable ramp on site.

Trio is a breakfast bar situated on a gentle slope on Campbell Parade in Bondi. There is step-free access into and throughout the venue, which has indoor and outdoor seating areas with table service. Unfortunately there are no accessible toilets. The closest accessible parking spots can be found at the beach carpark.

Bondi Pavilion is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp outside the main entrance providing step-free access into the foyer. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet which requires an MLAK key to access. At the Pavillion there are accessible shops and a restaurant. Bondi Pavilion

Lush On Bondi is an accessible restaurant and bar located next to Bondi Pavilion. The outside seating area can be accessed via the street, and the restaurant can only be entered via the ramp outside the Pavilion entrance and making your way along to the restaurant. Some of the venue’s seating is inaccessible due to high benches and stools. The venue doesn’t have accessible toilets but there are some inside the Pavillon.
Next to the venue is the beach carpark which provides several accessible parking spots. 

Lush On Bondi

Bondi Beach House is inaccessible to wheelchair users. The hotel has no rooms suitable for wheelchair access and not all areas of the hotel can be accessed step-free.

Situated on a gentle slope on Campbell Parade, Soy Japanese Restaurant offers step-free access upon entry and throughout the venue. Space inside the venue is at a premium and the tables are packed in tightly but there are also outside tables available. An accessible toilet is also provided.

Bondi 38 Serviced Apartments is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a lift which takes you to the floors. The venue has one wheelchair accessible, two bedroom room that features a roll-in shower and hand rails around the toilet. This property is 1 minute walk from the beach. Bondi 38 Serviced Apartments offers guests unlimited free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have a balcony with ocean views.
 In the nearby area there are plenty of accessible restaurants, cafes and food shops available.
Secure lock-up garage parking with 24/7 access only a short walk from Bondi 38 is provided.

Brand new accessible toilet (or disabled toilet) and showers in a separate building behind Bondi Surf Club. Level path to access and ramp up to big open area. Main door has push-button entry, as have other toilets.

The closest ocean beach to the centre of Sydney a mere 7km away, Bondi Beach has become synonymous with Sydney's beach lifestyle and is very popular with tourists, daytrippers, backpackers, residents and all Sydneysiders.
Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep.
There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (MLAK key is needed to access this). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key.

It is located in lockers on the promenade at the northern end of the beach. The lockers provide a secure place to store your own wheelchair while enjoying the beach.

Beach Matting: A portable beach access mat provides independent access to the beach for people who prefer to use their own wheelchair or mobility aid. 

The mat is currently rolled out twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm,

North Bondi is where the locals go to swim and hang out, leaving the main stretch of Bondi Beach to the visiting tourists and backpackers.
