The Australian National Maritime Museum is Australia’s national centre for maritime collections, exhibitions, research and archaeology. As Sydney’s most visible national cultural institution, it is committed to connect audiences right across Australia in both urban and regional areas. The Museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is ramp access into the main museum building via the main entrance. To access all exhibition spaces within the main building you will find lifts or ramps. You can even get to the wharves and the viewing platform outside the museum. The only thing you cannot access are the vessels. Accessible toilets are on site. In the museum there is a cafe which is also perfectly accessible for wheelchair users. Courtesy wheelchairs are available and require a photo ID. There are accessible parking spots but they need to be booked before arrival as there are just a few.
