North Cronulla Beach is a sandy beach with a rocky shoreline to the south. Off the beach there are cafes and a kiosk. Behind the beach at Dunningham Park there is a grassed area and a large playground for children. Just south of North Cronulla beach are two ocean baths that are accessible via The Esplanade pedestrian walkway. The beach is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access via a ramp on Peryman Square. The beach, which is mainly soft sand, is of a medium gradient. Patrolled from November to April by Sutherland Shire Council's professional lifeguards together with volunteer lifesavers from North Cronulla Surf Lifesaving Club, but the two ocean baths to the south are not patrolled. Accessible toilets and parking are located at North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club next to Dunningham Park. Unfortunately you cannot rent a beach wheelchair here.
