North Bondi is where the locals go to swim and hang out, leaving the main stretch of Bondi Beach to the visiting tourists and backpackers. The beach is looked after by the good folks from North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. It's also a very popular spot with the boys, who tend to show off their gym efforts. North Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep. There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (A MLAK key is needed). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key. There is only one beach wheelchair available from Bondi lifeguard tower but it is free for visitors to use. There are several parking spots available at the beach carpark.
