 Surrounded by parkands, Bondi Beach also has a great variety of shops, restaurants and take away places to choose from. A wide ramp at North Bondi makes access to the beach easy Mobi-mat beach mats are in use at Bondi Beach on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.30am to 2pm, surf and weather conditions permitting. They are located at the northern end ramp of Bondi Beach, near Wally Weekes pool. Please note that the matting does NOT reach the ocean’s edge.  

Beach wheelchairs are available for hire: you can choose between the Sandcruiser (adults) or Sandpiper (children). Please use the beach wheelchairs to access and swim between the flags. Two accessible parking spots are located right near the ramp down to the beach at North Bondi. There is also plenty of parking available in the open air car park behind the beach. Accessible bathrooms and showers are available near the beach wheelchair lockers just back from the promenade.

Shuk Bondi is a charming bakery with a bright and colorful atmosphere that feels like an Israeli marketplace. This popular spot has several locations in Sydney and is known for its tasty pastries and fresh products.

The Bondi store is on a corner and has plenty of space inside. The main entrance has steps, so it's not wheelchair accessible. However, if you come from Murriverie Road, you can use a ramp on the left side to get inside. There’s also outdoor seating surrounding the venue where you can enjoy your food. Inside, you can get table service or check out the pastries at the counter, which is low enough for everyone to see.

The restrooms are at the back of the store. To reach them, use a small side entrance next to the ramp. This will take you to a backyard where you’ll find wooden doors. The first door on the right leads to the accessible toilet. There’s a cement ramp, but watch out for a small step when entering. The door opens manually from the inside, and there’s enough space for a wheelchair, with handrails on the right side of the toilet.

Located just a stone’s throw from Bondi Beach, Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop is an accessible ice cream shop. An open plan, step-free entrance leads to the counter and a small seating area. There are no toilets on the premises.

Banana Blossom is an accessible restaurant in Bondi serving authentic Asian cuisine. A ramp at the entrance allows wheelchair access into the restaurant and to the counter. There are a limited number of accessible tables outside the restaurant.

A small step at the entrance to Handmade Noodle & Dumpling Kitchen may make this restaurant inaccessible for some wheelchair users. There is no portable ramp to aid access.

Lush On Bondi is an accessible restaurant and bar located next to Bondi Pavilion. The outside seating area can be accessed via the street, and the restaurant can only be entered via the ramp outside the Pavilion entrance and making your way along to the restaurant. Some of the venue’s seating is inaccessible due to high benches and stools. The venue doesn’t have accessible toilets but there are some inside the Pavillon.
Next to the venue is the beach carpark which provides several accessible parking spots. 

Lush On Bondi

Hotel Ravesis is inaccessible to wheelchair users. The hotel has no rooms suitable for wheelchair access and not all areas of the hotel can be accessed step-free.

Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club is partially accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp at the front of the building providing step-free access, but only the ground floor can be accessed via wheelchair. North Bondi is where the locals go to swim and hang out, leaving the main stretch of Bondi Beach to the visiting tourists and backpackers. The beach is looked after by the good folks from North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. It's also a very popular spot with the boys, who tend to show off their gym efforts. North Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep.
There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (A MLAK key is needed). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key.
There is only one beach wheelchair available from Bondi lifeguard tower but it is free for visitors to use. There are several parking spots available at the beach carpark.

North Bondi Beach

The closest ocean beach to the centre of Sydney a mere 7km away, Bondi Beach has become synonymous with Sydney's beach lifestyle and is very popular with tourists, daytrippers, backpackers, residents and all Sydneysiders.
Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep.
There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (MLAK key is needed to access this). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key.

It is located in lockers on the promenade at the northern end of the beach. The lockers provide a secure place to store your own wheelchair while enjoying the beach.

Beach Matting: A portable beach access mat provides independent access to the beach for people who prefer to use their own wheelchair or mobility aid. 

The mat is currently rolled out twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm,

Lamrock Cafe is an inaccessible eatery located just across the road from Bondi Beach. A portable ramp is needed to gain access to the counter and dining area, but the Lamrock does not have this facility. However there is some outside seating available.
