Speedo’s Cafe is an inaccessible eatery situated on the sloping Ramsgate Avenue in Bondi. A large step leading into the venue prevents wheelchair access, while Speedo’s outside tables are also inaccessible owing to the heavy benches used in place of chairs.

However, the entrance to the café has stairs, making it challenging for those with mobility issues to access the indoor space. While the café does have a restroom, it is small and not suitable for disabled or wheelchair users.

North Bondi Fish is a popular beachfront restaurant at Bondi Beach, offering a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere with fresh seafood and stunning ocean views—the perfect vibe for a casual yet elegant dining experience.

Located at the end of Ramsgate Avenue in North Bondi, the restaurant is easily accessible, with plenty of nearby parking, including handicap spots close to a curb ramp leading to the footpath and venue entrance. Accessibility is well-marked with clear signage outside the restaurant. The venue itself is on level ground, and a ramp connects the road to the entrance.

Inside, the spacious hallways make it easy to move around, and the attentive staff are happy to assist upon arrival. Guests can enjoy beautiful ocean views while navigating the restaurant’s accessible layout. Accessible restrooms are available, and the route to them is wheelchair-friendly and straightforward. North Bondi Fish offers a fresh, enjoyable seafood experience in a welcoming, accessible setting.

North Bondi RSL is an accessible bar, restaurant and live music venue. The club has step-free access via Ramsgate Avenue and a lift to ensure wheelchair access throughout. 

The space inside is generous - there plenty of inside low tables with lots of space between them and there are also low outside tables on the deck overlooking the beach - a spectacular view!

An Accessible toilet is available on site, although the doorway was partially blocked by stored items when we went. Also beware, the accessible entrance is up a very steep incline pathway from the street front. About a 1 in 4 or more slope!

BRU Coffee on Brighton Boulevard in Bondi is an inaccessible coffee and food outlet. A step at the entrance prevents wheelchair access into a small waiting area and to the counter. However there is accessible seating outside.

The Depot is an accessible cafe on Warners Avenue, North Bondi with drop curb to outside seating, low & high tables.  The family run corner cafe is popular with locals & offers bistro style dishes.  

To enter the cafe there is a step you do have navigate but once inside the venue is well spaced out to accommodate wheel chairs.

There is a toilet on site, however they are not accessible for a wheel chairs as they are the existing toilets in the building and has a narrow entrance to them.  However, there are accessible toilets at Bondi Pavilion, South & North Bondi Beach.

The Depot

Bondi Pavilion is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a ramp outside the main entrance providing step-free access into the foyer. There is a designated accessible unisex toilet which requires an MLAK key to access. At the Pavillion there are accessible shops and a restaurant. Accessible parking spots can be found at the beach carpark.


Bondi Pavilion

North Bondi is where the locals go to swim and hang out, leaving the main stretch of Bondi Beach to the visiting tourists and backpackers. The beach is looked after by the good folks from North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. It's also a very popular spot with the boys, who tend to show off their gym efforts. North Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep.
There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (A MLAK key is needed). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key.
There is only one beach wheelchair available from Bondi lifeguard tower but it is free for visitors to use. There are several parking spots available at the beach carpark.

North Bondi Beach

The closest ocean beach to the centre of Sydney a mere 7km away, Bondi Beach has become synonymous with Sydney's beach lifestyle and is very popular with tourists, daytrippers, backpackers, residents and all Sydneysiders.
Bondi Beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The promenade that runs along the top of the beach is fully wheelchair accessible and access onto the soft sand can be gained by any of the various ramps along the promenade. The ramp at the northern end of the beach is the least steep.
There is a stand-alone unisex disabled bathroom and disabled toilets in Bondi Pavilion (MLAK key is needed to access this). The ladies and men’s toilets also have a larger stall in each for easy access which do not require a MLAK key.
There is only one beach wheelchair available. It is free for visitors to use. Booking a beach wheelchair is essential by calling 9083 8400 or email: bondipav@waverley.nsw.gov.au

It is located in lockers on the promenade at the northern end of the beach. The lockers provide a secure place to store your own wheelchair while enjoying the beach.

Beach Matting: A portable beach access mat provides independent access to the beach for people who prefer to use their own wheelchair or mobility aid. 

The mat is currently rolled out twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm,

Bondi Beach

Lush On Bondi is an accessible restaurant and bar located next to Bondi Pavilion. The outside seating area can be accessed via the street, and the restaurant can only be entered via the ramp outside the Pavilion entrance and making your way along to the restaurant. Some of the venue’s seating is inaccessible due to high benches and stools. The venue doesn’t have accessible toilets but there are some inside the Pavillon.
Next to the venue is the beach carpark which provides several accessible parking spots. 

Lush On Bondi

Sushi Train Bondi Beach is a partially accessible restaurant located at the northern end of Campbell Parade. The conveyor belt is inaccessible for wheelchair users, but there are accessible tables outside of the venue. The restaurant doesn’t have an accessible unisex toilet on site.

Sushi Train Bondi Beach

Macelleria on Campbell Parade is an accessible butcher and restaurant. Macelleria literally means “Butcher Shop” and they offer a unique meat eating experience.
There is step-free access upon entry and throughout the venue, which doesn’t have an accessible toilet. Seating is generously spaced inside the restaurant and most is accessible for wheelchair users.

Anitas is an accessible destination for any ice cream lover. Anita’s boutique ice creams are 100% hand-made from natural ingredients and perfect for a hot summers day. The open-wide doors offer an easy, flat entry point for you to discover their delicious flavours (and yes, you can taste test them too!). There is limited, spacious seating here, however, depending on the time of day, it might get too crowded inside. You do have options to eat out the front or continue strolling down Campbell Parade to take in the beach vibes. Bondi Beach Public Bar is an accessible venue to visit if you want to enjoy their tasty weekly specials, quality happy hour or enjoy some great entertainment. You have the option of sitting inside or outside, however the outside seating uses high stools, The entry is wide enough to fit a wheelchair user or pram and has a mix of high stools and low-level seating available. Tables are spacious, however, this location does bring a crowd so booking ahead is recommended on weekends. There is a ramp available that directs you to the accessible toilet which also includes some additional equipment. It has signage, spacious and well kept inside. No accessible parking nearby but there is street parking located around the venue.

Located on the ground floor of the Pacific Bondi Beach complex, Fishbowl Sashimi Bar is an accessible fast food restaurant. There is step-free access into and around the venue, but none of the outlet’s tables are accessible for wheelchairs owing to their height. There are, however, outside tables and some of them are accessible for wheelchair users. The restaurant doesn’t have an accessible unisex toilet on site. QT Bondi is accessible to wheelchair users. There is step-free access and lifts from the entrance on Beach Road. The hotel’s accessible rooms are in the QT Deluxe Range. The rooms feature a roll-in shower equipped with a seat and hand rails.
Make sure to contact the hotel before your stay to ensure there are accessible rooms available. The hotel is surrounded by accessible cafes and food shops.

Hunter Park has several sculptures around the park that make it an interesting photography spot and thoroughfare for locals.
Hunter Sculpture Park is a partially accessible park in Bondi. There is step-free access from Bondi Road but the gradient is very steep throughout the plot. There are no toilets at Hunter Park. There is a toilet block at nearby Marks Park. Head north towards Bondi for some of the best cafe culture Sydney has to offer. The park doesn’t provide any picnic or Barbecue areas. There is no dedicated parking for the park. If you’re lucky, you might secure parking on Campbell Parade, otherwise try Sandridge Street and some of the back streets around Marks Park.

Bills is an accessible restaurant in Bondi serving up modern Australian cuisine. Step-free access is available onto and inside the venue, which also has an accessible toilet. There is a plentiful amount of seating inside and also a number of tables outside the front of Bills.
